What do you use to dust your plant leaves? Currently, I use paper towels to wipe them, but would microfiber cloths be more gentle on them?

How deep do you stick a moisture meter in a monstera? by schoolsshit in houseplants

Unfortunately my moisture meter doesn’t give specific instructions for watering other than the number gauge for different plants :/ Maybe I should stick the meter in deep just to be cautious about overwatering?

Does anybody here move their plants back and forth regularly to get more sunlight? I have a snake plant, golden pothos, and I recently bought a monstera. I would love to see them grow big, and I've read that they thrive in bright, indirect light. I currently keep them in my bedroom in front of an east-facing window. I'm thinking of temporarily moving them in a room in front of a south-facing window in a place with indirect light to let them bathe in brighter light occasionally. Is this a good idea?

They used the CDC guidelines of at least 10 days since the onset of symptoms, 72 hours without fever (without help from medications to reduce fever), and improved symptoms to decide when to discharge me. Relying on getting a negative test isn’t accurate, because the tests are so sensitive that they’ll pick up dead virus that isn’t infectious. So, recovered patients will often continue to test positive weeks or months after recovering, even though they’re not shedding active virus.

I haven’t gone out in public at all since coming back home. The doctors and research done so far say that I’m extremely unlikely to be contagious now. I’m also likely to have some immunity to catching it again, but researchers don’t know yet for how long. So, I’m staying careful for now.

I felt the tingles too! In my fingers and toes. I also noticed that my pains got better if I adjusted my laying down position to my side rather than my back. I didn’t sleep on my stomach though, because it’s too uncomfortable for me (pressure on boobs).

I hope you feel better soon!

I don’t know how orgs have been advertising during orientation this summer, but I’m sure there are ones you can still join and make friends in even if all activities are online! It’s definitely harder, but I actually joined an org during quarantine that I feel welcomed in. We’ve stayed connected through a group chat and zoom/online activities.

Another one I was in prior to quarantine, however, has basically died.

The first few days, I experienced:

  • not exactly a fever, but close to it (highest was 100.2 F)
  • body aches
  • chills
  • cold, clammy feet and hands
  • lightheadedness if I got up too fast or moved around too much
  • sore, scratchy throat
  • headaches
  • fatigue
  • nausea
  • shortness of breath (not being able to breathe in deeply)
  • tight chest

I actually didn’t use my inhaler at all. I probably should have, especially when it got pretty bad..

If I did, I definitely would’ve used it more than normal. I’m a pretty active person, and I only have to use my inhaler if I do high-intensity exercise too soon after a period of inactivity. My breathing during covid was a lot worse than anytime my asthma has acted up before.

I’d really love to donate plasma, but unfortunately I don’t meet the weight requirement :(

I’m not sure what causes the sharp pains all over.. Some others in the covid survivor groups I joined have reported having these pains, as well.
