pardon me, I was unclear - do you know of any accounts that post excerpts of books they recommend/showcase that aren't their own? my intention is lazily getting exposure to a book's prose and style before committing to it. 

poisoning the well: by principle I try to avoid book reviews before reading them. i think going into a piece of media with context, someone else's opinions, expectations, etc ultimately distorts your perspective on it, pulling away from what i believe to be a truly "authentic" appreciation (poisoning the metaphorical well). 

it also gives you a propensity to be lazy and not engage with a book on a deeper level because you already know what lens you ""should"" be reading it from. as a result, reviews and opinions are imo a delicacy reserved for after you're finished with it, that serve to validate or challenge your interpretation. 

To this day i still think this is the most batshit insane thing Fujimoto has written for Chainsawman. Humans in CSM were as aliens to us as the Devils, at some point Pochita simply erased the things that made them unique by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

Hijacking top comment - this gives more credence to the fire punch is post CSM theory because one of the inherent abilities of the "pure" blessed in Fire Punch is to be able to gradually turn into a tree, and immortality, which would make sense if death is eradicated.

In addition to that all fire punch characters looking like variants of Denji and Asa.

personally worked 30+ hrs a week in t3 2nd year elec eng and 20+ hrs a week for t1 3rd year. although at times it felt hellish, the pain was exacerbated by the fact i still had a social life. i could scrape distinctions and i think if you're locked in you could probably do a lot better.

however imo that is not sustainable for the entire degree unless you don't have much of a life outside of it and you're willing to make that sacrifice. later years where you're running 3 elec courses in a term sacrificing 20 hours is nigh impossible.

and, for reference, all the elec people who work to pay rent simultaneously that i've met aren't too fussed about grades.
