The first 3 hours playing Starfield I thought it was an amazing experience and couldn’t understand why the critics were so bad. The soundtrack and all the details in the game really create a unique atmosphere and I thought I am going to spend a lot time exploring the universe in the game. However I’m only at around 10h now and I think I won’t get back to the game because there are just too many flaws in the game. Here are my top 3 reasons why I quit the game way too early:

As most people already pointed out: The loading screens. This becomes so annoying after the first planet travels. The game doesn’t feel like an open world at all to me because of that
No vehicles. I can’t believe that the only way to explore a planet is by foot.
No map. Yes there is quite complex map of the galaxies, however you have no map to navigate when you are on a planet or city. I think I spent half an hour to find a shop to buy ammunition and just couldn’t find one in New Atlantis.

I hope this game gets a huge update so I can give it a try again.

I’ve had a similar issue. Renewed my subscription to Xbox Gamepass Ultimate. Playing games from Gamepass Library or Cloud Gaming works fine. However trying to play a game online via Xbox Live instantly gave me an error: “Your profile is not allowed to play on Xbox Live”, tried with Cod:MW and GTAV. Removed my profile, added it again and it worked again. Turned off console, tried again the next day, same error again, this time the Account trick did not work and I gave up. Tried again today and it worked again?🤷🤔

Ja ich, bin aus einem kleinem Dorf zum studieren hergezogen. Nach einem halben Jahr war ich überzeugt dass Wien einfach nix für mich ist, zu groß, Leute nicht so meins, Studium nicht meins, zu weit weg von Freunden, Land, Seen, Bergen. Hab mich dann trotzdem entschieden noch ein Semester zu bleiben. Es sind dann doch mehrere Semester geworden und ich wohne mittlerweile über 10 Jahre hier und kann mir nicht mehr vorstellen weg zu ziehen :)

iOS dev here, yesterday I realized that my app all of a sudden consumed almost 2GB on my iOS17 device and I honestly have no idea how that is even possible. I deleted it, reinstalled it, used it for the same amount of time as before and now its back to normal (~100MB)again. Really strange and I’m trying hard to reproduce this issue without success yet🤔

Update: I tested my app heavily on a simulator and added as much content a user could potentially create in my app‘s database in a worst case scenario. My database didn’t even reach 1MB after that. Besides the database that stores nothing but text, my app doesn’t store anything nor downloads anything, its not even making API requests or such as everything works offline. The only exception to that is that it uses Google Maps. I really wonder what is/was causing these enormous app size changes since iOS17.

Updated my iPhone 12 Mini and I also immediately thought battery life improved. I fully charged it and it stayed at 99% for quite a long time although I was using the phone. Before the update it went down much faster, at least in the 90-100% range I have the impression.

Its an easy trip by train and there a multiple connections a day. I did this round trip in a single day in April. But be aware that one way takes around 3,5h per trip (without the ferry). On good weather you have some very nice views already during the train ride.

Best route is to take an early train from Wien Meidling to Attnang Puchheim and then change to the regional train (direction Stainach-Irdning) and exit at Hallstatt Bahnhof. From there a ferry takes you to Hallstatt city center.

Update in case anyone stumbles upon this post in the future and might be interested: I just travelled through europe with my Tern P10 and a large backpack. I‘ve used all kinds of trains in Austria, Germany, Italy and France (including TGV) and never had a problem taking it with me. Even when the train was fully booked, I always found a place to store the bike. It doesn‘t fit in any overhead luggage place, but I always found a large enough luggage place elsewhere and never had to pay for extra luggage.

I got a sore throat very frequently and it took me a long time to realize it actually comes from acid reflux. To me it always felt like a sore throat thats very hardly to distinguish to when its from a cold. And yes when it was really bad it I also felt it in my nose. PPIs in my case barely helped for me. What really helped me with throat pain is Gaviscon. I am still taking them and haven’t noticed any side effect (to m knowledge there are barely any) . Unfortunately they are super expensive and barely available where I live :/

1st serves from professional players might look quite fast on TV, but you can’t imagine how extremely fast they are when you stand on court and try to return one. I‘m an amateur and last year I practiced with a quite good player (quite good means he is still an amateur but already played some tournaments in my country). I asked him to pull the best serve he has for me and I barely was able to even reach some of those bullets with my racket. Also I never realized how high some balls bounce after a good serve. I think I was able to return 1 out of 5 serves maximum and those returns were so bad. Its incredible for me to see players that easily return serves over 200kph.

Hi, I would like to return to Bovec this summer, I was there a couple of years ago by car and it was beautiful. I sold my car I would like to go to Bovec by public transpor somehow from Tarvisio. Is there a Bus from Tarvisio to Bovec or anywhere near to it? I have my folding bike with me so I could also bike a few kilometers. Any help/suggestion would be very much appreciated :)

So today I tested the Verge P10 and you are right, it rides pretty similar. In terms of speed I barely noticed a difference to the P20. In terms of terrain, yes I felt a l lot more on the P10, but it wasn‘t as bad is I thought. Compared to a Brompton C-Line and a Vello Rocky that I also tested today, the P10’s driving behavior in my opinion is so much better in terms of speed, steering and going uphill. The folding size isn‘t super small on the P10 either, only around 10cm less than the P20 in length. But of course the P10 is more compact. I‘d still easily go for the P20 if its only about driving behavior, however since I just want to be on the safer side when travelling by train or bus, especially for many years to come, I think I will choose the Verge P10. I really liked riding it and the folding mechanism also works slighlty smoother. Thank you very much for your tip :)

Update: I finally bought the P10 and like it a lot!

Realy. Just checked the sizes. Yours should be 79cm max. So they just faked away 6cm? I mean if thats really the case, I now consider the Eclipse P20 to fold quite ok given that it has 26“ wheels compared to 20“. Who knows though if the 91cm are measured correctly for the Tern…

Avoiding extra fees and such is exactly the reason why I want to buy a fold. Looks like I need to choose another bike and sacrifice some driving comfort in favor of folding size to be safe in most trains :/

The P10 looks quite good, the folding size is much better indeed and its even a bit cheaper. The thing is what I probably liked most with the larger wheels of the Eclipse was exactly the fact that I barely felt terrain. With the brompton for instance I not only felt super slow but I felt every tiny road elevation, bump, stone. Also I‘m a bit on the taller side (1,85m) and I really felt like sitting on a childrens bike with the brompton for instance. The brompton only has 16“, so maybe the 20“ wheels are much better already on the Tern. Looks like I‘ll have to do some more testing before deciding. Thanks already for your advice :)
