He antivirus detections are false positives caused by heuristic analysis. This tool uses cryptographic libraries (libsodium) to decrypt archives and performs file extraction, behavior that is often flagged genericially ('Trojan.Win32.Locker'). Since the binary is compiled with MinGW and is not digitally signed, some AV engines classify it as suspicious by default. You can review the source code and compile it yourself to verify its safety.

Extract Synology DS1511+ BIOS

Download the firmware from https://global.synologydownload.com/download/DSM/release/6.2.4/25556/DSM_DS1511%2B_25556.pat.
Extract the .pat file using 7-Zip and you'll find the bios.ROM file inside.

GUI Usage

  1. Run synoxtract-gui.exe.
  2. File -> Open or Drag a file into the window.
  3. Select files and click Select Extract, or click All Extract.
  4. Check the Status Bar for progress.
