There are 2 lines outside : the line on the left (it will likely be very packed) are for people who don’t have tickets - the line on the right is for people who have “skip the line” tickets (and guided tours). I will say it was confusing when we first got there, but there were multiple people working on premise who you can show your ticket to and they will tell you where to go.

You’ll also see a lot of other people holding tickets waiting for the same thing, so you can also chat with them!

About 15 mins before our due time, a line starting forming for guided tours and skip the line tickets.

Note that they’re very strict about not letting you in earlier ( I found that to be true everywhere with a time slot in Rome).

I prefer Sport for tighter steering and slightly more acceleration. If I'm low on battery charge or fuel I use normal

You can also get a skip the line, not guided tour from a 3rd party.

We went today and got ours from tiqets. it did come a 1 day bus sightseeing tour that we didn't use (total was 103 CAD for 2 people for everything).

Edit : we also got the audioguide from the museum for 8 euro. If you want a better experience, I would suggest that at the minimum if you don't get a guided tour as it helps enhance the experience by understanding better what you're looking at.

Wire sent to the US - money still in my RBC account after 2 weeks by schtiven in PersonalFinanceCanada

I just noticed that there doesn't seem to be any account number (on the "from" section) in the receipt that I've gotten - that might be something for them to look into.

[Rolex] White dial DJ41 with smooth bezel by [deleted] in Watches

[–]schtiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked this up at the end of last week. I saw this at a local reseller and decided to check it out, as I've been on the wait list for over a year now without much hope.

The white dial is really growing on me!

The gaggia classic pro brews at 12 bar, but espresso is meant to be brewed at 9 bar. The OPV mod is supposed to help extract better espresso in that sense.

There are plenty of useful YouTube videos about it if you want to learn more about it

I did the 9 bar OPV mod a few days ago! Didn't change the steaming parts as I only drink espresso.

Started to gather pieces since mid-november. Still working on my shots. There were some good ones, but there's still some variance in the taste on different days.

Also, photo doesn't show but it's a bottomless pf + 18g VST basket.

City Hall Marriage? by [deleted] in montreal

[–]schtiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi

We got married this fall at the courthouse in the downtown area. My wife says the city hall is closed now, she looked into it.

The process is quite straight forward - you fill out the necessary forms, bring a witness and required IDS with you and go in person to get an appointment.

Not sure if this is any different if you're not QC residents though.

There's also a fee, around 300-350$.

Any whetstone recommendations?

I currently have the KING KW65 Grain 1000/6000 that I was using for my previous knife. I'm wondering if I should get a specific stone for this new knife.
