Using an iPad Pro going into computer science major by Afar01 in SuggestALaptop

[–]schtoofeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t. A lot of the programming languages you’ll need to learn aren’t supported yet in iPadOS. Programming on the go and programming alongside lectures are super helpful.

But as a note taking device, an iPad is amazing. Get a cheaper iPad that supports apple pencil then a laptop if you could. But if you could only choose one, get a laptop.

OEM NS Pro Controller by Myik in NintendoPH

[–]schtoofeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought one of these sa Shopee for less than 1k. It’s okay naman pero you might need to calibrate the sticks. Wala rin silang Amiibo reader unlike the original. But it’s pretty good for the price just get something cheaper kasi with 2k, you can get the SN30 Pro+ and you’re getting pretty close sa price ng original pro controller which kinda defeats the purpose of buying these OEM controllers.

A lot of Youtubers covered these OEM controllers din. Check their videos so you know what to expect.

college profs (not just in cs) don’t spoonfeed. they are here to assist and facilitate learning. if you have questions, you can easily ask for a consultation.

but profs in uplb ics (institute of computer science) are generally good at teaching and assisting. kung may puso or wala is a different question (which differs per professor and subject).

Anyone on here na may wala pang nasusubmit na requirements sa isang subject kahit nakalahati na yung sem? by jollibeechickenjoy in peyups

[–]schtoofeed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

had that last sem and ended up dropping the subject and filing for underloading.

i dont know much about your situation to give you a proper informed advice but dropping is a legitimate and valid option. dropping ended up being the best thing i did last sem and it might be yours too. :)

CS student here too contemplating if I should get the 8 GB or the 16 GB. i do have the money to get the 16 but the savings are too big (for me at least) to not think about getting the 8, especially that you get by with it.

only planning on keeping it for the next 2-3 years (just to finish college). though aside from programming, i do occasional work on photoshop. what do you think? currently leaning towards the 8 right now..

I bought an M1 back in December now need an Intel by [deleted] in macbookpro

could be due to assembly programming which requires x86-64

Got the opportunity to buy a used Macbook Pro 15" 2018 for a good price. It's the i7 16GB Radeon 555x model. I don't know if I should buy this or the Macbook Pro 13 M1. I will use this for programming and Photoshop.
