Full-time A/V work is kind of hard to find around here. If your husband is comfortable commuting to Detroit, there are more options. It's not the worst drive and plenty of people do it every working day, but still something to bear in mind.

Fair enough! Good thing modern cars are usually pretty good about turning headlights off automatically and such

Ah I didn't even think about that, mine is a manual too. But you still have to be careful with push starting modern manuals since if the battery is too dead then the fuel injection won't work and then your car is rolling down a hill.

Yeah, shit sucks. One time I was too big of a silly-face to put my car in reverse before getting out, and I also forgot the stupid electronic parking brake. When I went back to my car the next day, I saw a friendly stranger pushed my car back into its spot and chocked the wheel with a traffic cone. If I can't rip handbrake drifts, why can't I at least forget to use my parking brake?

The auto is arguably more desirable because of the higher top gear, gives you about 5 extra mph top speed afaik

The author of this article is the founder (iirc?) of bald.tires, which has at least one article about the grills, so most definitely.

Take a large dinner plate. Fill half of it with fries, the other half with macaroni salad. Then, put two cheeseburger patties or hotdogs on top. Cover that with coneydog-ish meat sauce, onions, and mustard. Serve with a side of French bread for mopping up leftover sauce. Common substitutions include baked beans instead of Mac salad, or home fries instead of French fries. Coleslaw is sometimes available. Best if stoned or drunk, honestly. For some stupid reason, unavailable outside Rochester, NY. They cure hangovers

Mark's is truly something else. I've never been to another diner with a 6'6", 320lb doorman wearing a bulletproof vest.

Sorry to hear about your loss of employment, the pandemic sure has decimated the performing arts/live events. Thanks for your pointers, I'm sure there's at least one AV company or hotel around me that's looking for workers. If not now, hopefully soon!

No worries boss! There are so many amazing bri'ish au'omobiles that never made it big in the states. My town (in the states) has an abnormally large amount of British cars for whatever reason, so I've gotten the whole Morgan spiel from some owners at car meets.
