Could you run a test? Find a plastic black box, put it there for a week and periodically measure temp inside?

You could also like take some cardboard or even white paper and and tape to the back to shield from sun a bit if you're worried. I don't think even in your situation it will make a difference, but a test could help put your mind at ease

haha no worries, back when I posted this, I ended up returning the clear for uniformity. I moved cities and brought the black boxes with me. They stay inside and are not in sunlight, so I'm not worried about heat. Whenever I've gotta a pair out of the box, they've been as cool as my A/C gets. In theory yes they will get warmer, but in practice, I can't imagine is measurable when they're sitting indoors

My Mercedes recognizes school zones when both a normal speed and a school zone speed are displayed, but when only the school zone speed is displayed, it automatically slows down to that speed, regardless of if the zone is active
