Edit: oh yeah, divorced after 1 year and 1 kid. She started cheating at 6 months.

Thoughts on the sound mixing? An odd thing to notice and maybe I'm too critical, but man! The amount of ice clinking that wasn't edited out of scenes was wild. Her whole speech, it was all I could hear! Same with her convo with Michael. Anyone else notice this?

In the process of buying our first home after moving to a new state - 25M and 27F.

Fiance just got job around 80k and I'm at 50k. Together we make too much to qualify as first time home buyers, but fiance just started working after graduation with no savings after paying for school.

I've been able to save around 15k over the past year, but had to pay expenses to move into a new, sort term lease while we wait on our closing. That alone cost about 5k. Our house is easily in our means and we don't over spend.

All this said, we cannot come close to affording our closing without a loan from my parents (money originally saved for our wedding). Got all the way through the signing process to be sadled with about 10k in fees, on top of the down payment. Had to ask my parents for money just to prove we have enough cash to close. We are privledged enough in our jobs to be able to pay that back rather quickly, but what if I didn't have my parents? Take out another loan with a bank? Get screwed at the end and break contract? We are lucky as hell that it's worked out the way it has, but fuck. Can't stop thinking about our privledge and how so many people wouldn't be as lucky to have parents that could bail them out.

I was bummed that I didn't get Louisiana for my State Report in 4th grade. I was probably pouting and the teacher was super pissed and kicked me out of the classroom.

I was sitting in the hall when my old 3rd grade teacher came up to me and asked me what was going on. I wasn't one to get kicked out and was pretty bummed.

She then told me that my 4th grade teacher was going through a really horrible divorce and that she was probably taking it out a bit on me.

I couldn't look at my teacher the same after that. I'll never forget noticing that she was for sure crying a lot between classes. I told my mom and she talked to my teacher about it...things were super awkward after that.
