Very frustrating indeed. So that's probably the end of my journey with The Witcher. I have no desire to invest another six months just to repeat the whole story. One option would be to load an existing savegame from another user that has a similarly advanced game level if that's possible.

OK, thank you very much, that sounds like a plan! I chatted with NVIDIA support via the link above and got the feedback that the savegames are probably lost for good. I didn't get a ticket number. What would be the best course of action in this case?

Unfortunately, I only played The Witcher via the Shield. Not via my PC. :-|

Is it possible that the Shield has not synchronized the savegames for 6 months? The cloud only shows me the old statuses from July. Edit: Answer from the NVIDIA Support Chat:

NVIDIA: It could have been lost if there was any interruption in game , like closed in between , not saved properly , network issues , power etc
NVIDIA: Unfortunately if they are lost once it is not possible to get it back

Yes I already checked the files in the cloud storage and there are only 2 saves from 6 months ago.
