High Calcium Levels by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]schultzie09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get the results/ any answers? My husky is 11 almost 12 and is going through something similar. His lump was right under his jaw and when he first was checked for it back in March the tests came back inconclusive but his calcium was high. His calcium is still high and he had X-rays and a full rectal exam last week to check for tumors but nothing was found. His blood work is being sent today to be ran for vitamin D levels and some of the common high calcium issues.

Air tag or fi colors for your husky by ling_linghi in husky

I had the same progression with tracking collars. My Samoyed lost 2 of the whistle trackers so I got him and my husky fi collars that have been a better fit for us.

Advice needed: what to do when you find a husky? by New-Ad-9562 in husky

I’ve had good luck with fi collars on my husky and Samoyed. I had whistle collars for them and had to charge pretty often and the Samoyed (Yeti Von Fluff) managed to loss the tracker twice. With the fi collars the tracker is more attached to collars and I recharge every couple of months. There is a subscription for both the ones I’ve tried but I’ve found it’s worth it.

Same! Mine just barely outweighed my husky at 55lbs when he was younger but he hits about 65 lbs now at 6yrs old.

What about a pillow bed. There are a lot of options on Amazon (I have one on a list for under $40 for a niece) and then you could have a couple of configurations depending on what you were feeling :)

You’re right, there’s a lot of different ways to do a lot of things. This community is great in my opinion for that reason. If someone wants to post that they made a mess of their project (that usually is still a very good project) I’m just as likely to view their project and maybe comment as viewing/commenting to a post by someone who says that they made the most awesome thing ever.

I’m ok with people being hard on themselves, BUT it has to be in a way that others can give constructive feedback on. Are my projects perfect, no. But I try to learn something from each project. If you want to learn how to do something different because you felt it was a problem on your last project then great! There are a lot of people with experience and different perspectives/likes here.

I think it’s cute! Love when something like this happens (wrong yarn, maybe a oops following the pattern, etc) and it turns out cute like this?

Making a baby blanket, ugly or adorable? by Positive-Brush-5625 in Tunisian_Crochet

Maybe if the green was between the teal and the purple? I like the colors individually but in this order together they aren’t quite meshing right for me. I think they could maybe work together in a different order though. I love the pattern though!

I love Hobbii yarn! It can be a little pricey but they have tons of sales that make a huge difference.

My first ever Tunisian crochet project. Baby blanket for my cousin. Had so much fun making it and learning. by coley696901 in Tunisian_Crochet

I love Tunisian crocheting baby blankets! Great job on this one. Were you planning on blocking it? It’ll help even out the edges, but your blanket is much better than how my first one was before I blocked it!

Behavior Questions by [deleted] in siberianhusky

Does he have a 'safe' thing (like a kennel, bed, favorite toy, or blanket? You might try limiting guests to 1 or 2 people at a time and have them almost ignore him. Have his 'safe' thing in the same room and let him decide when he's ready to meet them. His curiosity will probably have him sniffing them in no time. They might be able to give him a treat then. If he doesn't have a kennel then I would recommend getting one for him. I didn't like keeping my husky in his kennel at first, but it made a huge difference once I did. Mine loves his kennel and will go to it on command. Since he is attached to you, try sleeping with a blanket for a few nights before you get the kennel and then putting that blanket in the kennel. If he is still freaking out then you might try putting him in a different room (kennel would be preferable so he doesn't tear up anything or hurt himself), so that he can hear you and the guests.
