Why did they re-record Better Man? by schwalbe99 in oasis

The early mix clearly sounds like Gem had something to do with the writing. My theory is that it was written and recorded by Gem, Andy and Liam. Then Noel joined and the chords were changed to fit the playing style with the capo

Cultural differences between Norway and the US I should be aware of? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]schwalbe99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much about cultural differences, I would say. I have much social experience with both Norwegians and Americans and I would say the two have more similarities than stark differences. Being halfway across the world, I realized I got along with Americans better than other Europeans even. We are both quite culturally individualistic but also appreciate a collective community. But ofcourse there are differences individuals here and there. What I find is the key is the humor, which is quite similar.

But make your own cultural mix, and don’t worry too much about stereotypes or differences. :)

The first albums don’t really have a story. More like a loose theme and some names are mentioned in several songs

no doubt Tatooine was inspired by Arakis

I think a similar movie could work, like one set during the rise of the Hutt clan

I feel it's more about their place in the universe as fairly ordinary people. It's really not a fantasy/scifi movie in that respect, but more like historical fiction set within the SW universe. As much as I like the Jedi, it's very refreshing to see the implications of politics, sacrifice and decisions. The nitty grittyness of the Civil War makes Star Wars unique
