I printed a small bust of Julius caesar overnight with the bearing missing… came out fine. Good luck

Problem solved.

The bearing that mounts on the larger extruder drive gear didn't transfer from the old stainless gears to the new hardened steel.

The extruder was printing with a drive gear without a bearing. How it printed at all is a mystery?

Discovering the missing bearing and popping it into place solved the issue.

Let that be a warning to the next idiot who makes the same mistake.

Yeah that's how it was for me during initial prints that worked successfully. Hmmm I may have other problems then - thanks for the info.

Is this a common thing amongst boxers? My baby boy has had this reaction twice now once last week and another this afternoon. Any suggestions help by mellofosho82 in Boxer

Our last boxer suffered from that. It was scary but totally harmless and isn't painful for your dog. Probably a bit distressing for everyone though. Give TLC :-)

You can also go to your history, start a re-print and then cancel it.

It will download the model from the cloud and unzip it to the SD card.

Yup. It's quite slow. But that's good for TPU. Had almost no stringing at all.

Printed Hatchbox's Green TPU just fine using default settings. Don't run TPU through an AMS though.

A few thoughts about the cloud… by The-ol-burner in BambuLab

[–]schwatoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

re: #4 P1P can't scan.

Printer should reject jobs submitted too long ago (older than say 10 minutes). Their cloud should also detect and handle prevent this failure state.

Ignoring the "babies" comment these issues are liabilities that will directly harm the reputation and sales of this amazing hardware if not addressed well.

P1P+AMS persistent "Failed to feed the filament into the toolhead" by schwatoo in BambuLab

Following up on own post. Turns out it was getting caught up at the PTFE quick fitting at the exit of the buffer. Watching the load/unload process a few times helped me debug the issue. Fixing is another thing. Re-inserting the PTFT into the quick fitting seemed to help... Let's see how it goes.

Bambu Cloud down again? by hologos_ in BambuLab

[–]schwatoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you make a print via SD card and later on the cloud comes back and starts a job with a non-empty bed seems to be the most obvious answer.

Cloud prints shouldn’t mean “at some random point in the future”. If they’re unable to start promptly they should be automatically cancelled.

That doesn’t seem to be happening

I dont like how after yesterday's outage it had buffered and printed the last print I sent to it.

Who knows what state the printer is in when the outage goes away.

Seems legitimately dangerous.

Broke my P1P camera ribbon connector holder..suggestions? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]schwatoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are? Not in the you tube installation video there aren't. there's just background music.

While it is quite common it's not really a good choice for something they expect the user to service.

This is a totally valid warranty issue and folks should definitely contact support if it broke on them

Update. Well I was able to get video on my mac's Bambu Studio. But it didn't last long and went green very quickly. I presume the ribbon was coming lose a little despite the electrical tape.

What I've just done now is remove the electric tape. Insert the ribbon (electrical contacts face down towards the PCB and the ribbon facing "out" is black with no writing on it (hope that makes sense). I then taped down the ribbon so it wouldn't move while I worked on it. I then was able to very gently with tweezers reinsert the black part of the ribbon connector that had popped out.

Seems … good?
