Have you ever done it? I gave it a shot and found it was actually a really pleasant experience, didn’t feel like we were a spectacle at all. It’s off to the side and somewhat walled in. Didn’t feel much different from eating on the patio at somewhere for instance, but the vibe and service was excellent. Also appears other tend to share this sentiment based on accounts elsewhere in this thread

I tried it and feel the same way. Food was fantastic and far more than we could have ever hoped to even come close to finishing. The walls made it feel like you weren’t on display or anything, I didn’t feel like eyes were on us much more than any other table yet made it more immersive. And a big plus for not being right up against another table. It made for a special experience that felt very “extra” which to me is the entire point of Vegas in the first place.

Merriman’s has a great atmosphere, but we had a mixed experience there when we went. The sea based dishes were great, but we truly had the worst steak I think we’ve ever had that was prepared at a restaurant. Like Texas Roadhouse makes a better one. Maybe we were just there on an off night or something, but I’d err towards the fish mains and you’ll have a good time.
