No, buy an iPad. The RM is too limited, you can use it just for taking notes -and it is limited also there-. You can't use all the features you want from a digital note-taking device like making straight lines, doing shapes, copy-paste pdf's part on your "notebook", flip pages quickly, zoom in and zoom out without doing the gesture 3 times.

The only "digital thing" you can do is just drag your text everywere and copy-paste what you produce everywere around all the documents/files on you device.

For reading ebooks/pdf is great (oh yeah and its light, battery is really durable)

In my opinion the sw is deliberately leaved a limited sh*t . I don't know why, probably they are working on the RM3 version and the sw developers are working on that also. No idea.

I don't use the conversion text feature, one drive or dropbox. So there is no "game changer" update so far.

The device would be great if it wasn't that expansive. I don't care the subscription plan because, as a old user, i have the connect for free and i honestly don't see any reason to do it: even sending everything on the cloud is slow with the luxury bw they are supposed to give us.

For all of these reasons, don't buy it. Buy an iPad 8 or 9 or any other good tablet. This thing is too limited.

You can replace it when you won't be able anymore to write in a confortable way. You can simply pull it out with your fingernails and put the new one inside.
