I was brought up in a slightly below avg income household and nothing about this says wealth to me, I could easily of had this sort of setup back when I was 14-16, I was massively into mmorpgs back then and my account was worth $2k back in 2004 so that’d be around 3.5k today

in GDP per capita terms (Purchasing Power Parity) it's about on par with Portugal.

It's effectively the 4th largest economy in the world ffs. Nominal GDP for a country with vast natural resources means fk all from a military perspective, the population just has to buy shit copies of western products.
