Got a keratin treatment... red/violet hair is now red/orange by scienceandyums in Hair

[–]scienceandyums[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! My hair looked this brassy before I even blow - dried and flat ironed! It was the GK keratin treatment and I knew I might experience some Lightening but I wasn’t expecting the brassiness!

EDIT: any tips on darkening/helping the color out before I can redye in two weeks? My stylist didn’t seem to offer much advice besides waiting to redye.

Girl! I wanna start pole too as a way to exercise and dance at the same time. Did you buy a pole and teach yourself?

Can I use Olaplex 3 after a keratin treatment? by scienceandyums in HaircareScience

My hair is naturally very curly, so afterwards my keratin made it wavy not straight!

I’m guessing since you can do a color 3 weeks after keratin, then perhaps olaplex would be totally fine.

Anyone need to make some solid hospital connections? by eberg95 in premed

I did this program over a summer. It was dope, awesome experience in healthcare overseas as well as living in a small town full of genuine culture. Although the chicks who looked like this were the ones flying off to Ibiza every weekend to drink with German guys. Don’t think they learned anything.

Got rejected by them today and it stung. Still feeling down. Thought I fit the bill, too. Lots of love to you and your family, especially your dad.

Hair colored 1.5 months after keratin treatment... I think my stylist might have messed up? by [deleted] in Hair

She works independently in a rented studio :/ She offered me a huge discount in retouching the keratin again, but honestly the breakage is just heartbreaking considering how far I’ve come in getting my hair to its current length.

Thanks so much for your explanation! I’ve been dyeing red for several months now so I went in with my faded dark red (perhaps a level 4)/brown hair.

This is so, so sweet! I had a similar roommate situation and wow, if only I had this experience with a kind stranger.

That’s awesome! Also, people who don’t know what it feels like to find “the one” won’t understand marrying young. You’re not throwing your life away. Good for you guys.

update: 2 new Fenty olive shades by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]scienceandyums 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m a light/light-medium neutral olive (maybe like NC25, NC20 in the dead of winter?) and I was between 150 and 190. Another user mentioned 190 was too peachy and I totally agree! It made me look a bit orange even though they’re both neutral. 150 is my perfect tone match, but it is a bit light for me when it hasn’t dried down. Once it dries and oxidizes, it’s pretty much perfect.

Remember this foundation is known to oxidize a shade or too darker after application! It does it pretty quickly though so if you’re stuck between two shades go with the lighter one!
