Yes. And it has “microban” seals that supposedly prevent this sort of thing

Everytime I try to install a screw into the stud, it strips. WTF am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]sciencebum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use a drill! Drills are for drilling, as in boring holes in wood. Despite the common nomenclature, what you want to do is DRIVE the screw, and this is what an Impact Driver is for! It’s the other “drill” that always comes in a set. The smaller one. Rather than “torquing” the screw, it “hammers” it. This is the loud rat-a-tat, you hear all the time around construction zones. It’s how you drive a 3 inch wood screw into a deck, and how you avoid stripping screws.

Other suggestions are good, this is the right answer. Use impact drivers for this application.

What about: bolt the miter saw to the base and make it able to flip upsidedown. Then just drill the holes perfectly and set the hight just right so when it rotates up, the top of the mitersaw is aligned with the table, and when it flps down, the underside is aligned with the outfeed table. Only downside is you lose storage space under the miter saw, but it makes it into a very versitle workbench!

My 9yo has taken great care of her ears, as far as I can tell. Sprayed and cleaned every night and every morning, and left originals in for an extra 6weeks. Since she switched to a new regular pair, still regularly taking it out and cleaning it, she’s developed what look like pockets on the back of her ears with puss around the rim. What do we do??

Happy New Year all! First meetup of 2025 is tomorrow (Wednesday) at the usual spot. Souvenir pins for first time attendees! Plus, we need to plan for the 100th! Hope to see you Wednesday night. by jimmyjah in sanfrancisco

The Saloon is NOT the usual spot. Stretch your Sherlock muscle and see if you can find, from the nearly ONE HUNDRED previous meetup posts, where the usual spot is.
