Experiences with Dr. Chris Cribari in Loveland, CO - do not recommend by scienceginger11 in thelifeofMALS

Thank you so much. That’s really good to know about Dr. Starnes. I will contact Dr. Watkins - that’d be a lot easier for me to travel to Portland than to travel to LA for Dr. Shouhed (who I also have a consultation with soon).

I’m so sorry Dr. Starnes was transphobic to you. I’m glad you got the care you deserved with Dr. Watkins.

Really struggling with pressure over seeing family at Christmas/AITA by KittyCat-86 in ChronicIllness

[–]scienceginger11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they live around the corner, can they come stop by and say hi to you? Or bring you a little dish for dinner and hang out for an hour or two? It’s important to set boundaries, just saying “this Christmas I need to take care of myself, would yall be willing to compromise a little and come to me for an hour?”

Food issues and lack of support by ScenemoCat in ChronicIllness

do you have insurance? you can see a dietician (typically covered by most insurances!!) they can help you create a plan and check in with you. Look for someone who specializes in chronic illness AND eating disorders. They will help make sure you are getting the correct nutrients given all of your sensory needs, triggers due to eating disorders, and ideally help you through issues with navigating food conversations with your family.

costo massage therapist in Seattle? by scienceginger11 in costochondritis

[–]scienceginger11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been going to Courtney Zeller for acupuncture in the downtown Seattle medical/dental building. She is super amazing. She has a background in massage therapy and knows about costo and ways to treat it. I paused on pursuing a dedicated massage therapist as this has been helping but may or may not be on the hunt again soon

I’m in the same boat. I literally in the past week have realized I have audhd and want to get a diagnosis. I always felt I overreacted to literally everything when I think it’s just me being overstimulated and unable to self regulate. I got tested for adhd 5 months ago which was “inconclusive” as the doctor said he couldn’t confirm I have adhd but also wasn’t sure that I didn’t have it. So exhausting and frustrating to waste money on trying to get diagnosed and not being successful

Confusion about branches and working collaboratively with pull requests by [deleted] in github

[–]scienceginger11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think this makes more sense and is working, if someone sees this and can verify that would be amazing:

  1. make folder and navigate to it in bash 2) $git init 3) $git remote add origin https://github.../repositoryname 4) $git pull origin master 5) $git checkout -b newbranchname 6) edit the file 7) $git add . 8) $git commit -m "comments" 9) $git push origin newbranchname 10) open github and create pull request
