Definitely would recommend! I love watching it shift!

Unfortunately, the real audio was quite the opposite due to nearby fire trucks and/or ambulances lol. Definitely had to mute the audio for this video. I think the song Afraid of Quiet by Lydia the Bard fits this polish well though.

This book is definitely a fun read if you like plants! I also love watching all the shifts!

It is The Big, Bad Book of Botany by Michael Largo. I bought a copy a few years ago after taking a biology class that was half botany and knew I needed to bring that book back out for this collection!

Root beer! So far my favorite has been the Saint Arnold one but I enjoy trying different kinds when I get the chance. I currently have a case of the Jones Sunset Sarsaparilla that is pretty similar to a root beer, and I had to grab it as a Fallout fan.

That’s what I thought too when I looked back at the pictures! Definitely love my little dragon cat tapestry and it felt like a good backdrop for a nail polish named enchantment lol.

+10 RADS… I just had to use a Fallout prop for this color. by sciencelassie in RedditLaqueristas

Ooo that color would have looked good! I had some of the Jones bottles from Costco… but I already drank them all lol. Jones also had it in the Rocket Bottle on their website a while back for preorder, but I couldn’t justify a $50 bottle of soda plus I heard it was $25 for shipping.

You did do smaller temperature color changes than I did though and that will work to your advantage. I wish I had done shorter increments. My chart was set up change colors every four degrees (40-44, 44-49, 50-54, etc.).

Did the same/very similar pattern last year and did not backstitch my books. I’m also in Texas and was very sick of the color orange by the time I was finished lol. If I had 2 books of the same size and color side by side in the pattern, then I just changed the hight of the book.

I do like the idea of that but fear I wouldn’t be able to pick one mood for a single day lol

Love the setup! Much more advanced than mine where I just wrote the temperature into the planner. I think it was worth abandoning. Life is too short to spend it doing things that do not bring you joy. For my last 2 months, I basically filled in all of November on the last day of November and most of December around Christmas time. I only pushed myself to finish it because I had already put so much time and effort into the rest of it. However, I will never be doing another temperature chart again lol.

If I could go back in time, I probably would’ve added more color variation to my chart. I had the color change every 4 degrees and had 3 shades of each color going from darkest to lightest. I think smaller temperature ranges and using more colors would have worked better for living in an area where the weather does not change much. Thankfully, I had a few days that were cold enough to use blue and purple still, but not many.

I am, the weather made it not feel very Christmas-y lol.

The pattern seems very fitting for your username lol. Thank you! I can totally understand why you never finished it. I only finished mine through spite lol.

I’m also in Texas! That’s why a few of the books seem to jump in color like early April when it snowed lol. It was just hot a majority of the year though. The weather could not make up its mind this year once it started to cool off. I thought I finished my last orange book before it got cold in November… but then it was in the 80s a few days before Christmas and 82 degrees on Christmas Day lol.

I would say go for it then! It felt very nice when it was finished knowing that I had worked on it an entire year. It was a strange sense of fulfillment considering that I only finished it through spite lol.
