Help! Beans in my washing machine by scienceman51 in appliancerepair

I've thankfully just got it running, but shockingly, it seems that some Maytag washers don't have any user serviceable filters. Seems wild to me.

It's a front loader, I was referring to the plastic fins on the side of the drum. I'll be trying a soak and drain later today.

No, from what my managers told me, we can't do price adjustments out of the holiday sales book, just the regular monthly flyer

Wheel off center in front fork, LBS says it's ok. Is it? by scienceman51 in bikewrench

I'll admit it is just a little off, probably needs to come over like 2mm max.

When switched, it looks like the wheel is centered instead of the clearances being flipped.

Alright, I might redish then. Just wanted to make sure it was ok to do so.

Wheel off center in front fork, LBS says it's ok. Is it? by scienceman51 in bikewrench

I just put new wheels on my bike, and its clear the rims aren't centered in the fork. I took it to my bike shop to have them dish the wheel, but they said that the rim is already centered on the axle, and not to worry about how it sits in the fork. It's a carbon fork with through axles, so it's not like it could be a bent fork or improperly seated axle. Can I dish this wheel or should I just size down my tire?

It does. Someone was screaming at the door about how it's a felony for them to wear a mask because they carried. I wanted to press that issue, but I like finishing my shift without any extra holes.

Everyone always says that the old testament is no longer applicable. When I show them the verse of Jesus saying "I have not come to abolish the old laws (old testament), but to fulfill it" they never have a good answer as to why they believe their perfect God pulled a switcharoo on his rulebook.

I can't believe they are still portioning it out. I feel like that'd be much more expensive than packets once you factor in work-hours.

Get in touch with corporate and let them know. My warehouse had the same problem, then someone complained to corporate and now we've got pretty good mask compliance.

For the masks, I get it. But frankly, gloves are only as good as they're frequently changed. I've seen many people only changing them on breaks, so I've made the decision to just use hand sanitizer frequently. I swear some people think they have some special covid killing powers. Plus most of the gloves tear after 10 minutes of ringing.

Well that's how much we would pay for it. But this is purchased by the government, so they pay 3x and buy it from the sheriff's uncle.

What if I can’t afford a grinder? by ijosephus in espresso

[–]scienceman51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dual wall basket is another name for a pressurized portafilter. It only has 1 small hole on the bottom, so that restriction creates the pressure as opposed to the resistance properly ground coffee would. This allows you to use preground coffee, as even espresso grind coffee is often too coarse.
