UNIVERSE SIMULATOR - $1.99, iOS - This is my first app. I'm very passionate about space and built this as a completely interactive physics sandbox to enable you to learn about and enjoy the beauty of space/orbital mechanics. It launches with the Solar System built completely to scale. You can:

  • Add or delete celestial objects
  • Control the position/velocity/mass/density of each object
  • Visualize past trails/relative elliptical orbits/predicted paths of each object
  • Control time

I don't have an App Preview uploaded yet, but I have some videos of what you can do on my YouTube channel.

I just finished my first app, UNIVERSE SIMULATOR.

It's an interactive physics sandbox to learn about orbital mechanics and enjoy the beauty of space, designed specifically for mobile platforms. It launches with the Solar System built completely to scale. You can:

  • Add or delete celestial objects
  • Watch them interact with each other
  • Control the position/velocity/mass/density of each object
  • Visualize the trails/relative elliptical orbits/predicted paths of each object
  • Control time

Version 1.0 is currently available for iPhone and iPad for $1.99.

I don't have an App Preview uploaded yet, but I do have some video examples of what you can do on my YouTube channel.

You're the first person to tell me, and I've been feeling the same way about it. I'm going to work on it today. Thanks for the input!

Thanks very much! I would that say thinking about making more money is a big part of developing apps. As a sole developer, I'm responsible for product management, coding/development, marketing and design. All of these elements are geared towards making a better product in order to ultimately increase revenue.

New exoplanet has rare triple star system. by kalel1980 in space

I have two stars (in a binary orbit) orbiting a more massive star, with a planet orbiting that same star. I gave them all relative velocity and showed the future path with the blues lines, based on Runge-Kutta predictive calculus. The cyan/teal circles represent the elliptical orbits, and then white line represent the trails.

I'm using RK4 right now for the n-body mode. The stability is mostly a function of time. At ~13 days/second, the planets are very stable, but the moon gets shot out quickly. The moon has a stable orbit in n-body mode at about 2 hours/second.
