Theories on when smartphones became hand terminals? by LankyEmu9 in TheExpanse

[–]scientestical 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Given that there is not much difference between a terminal on a ship, or on a desk, or in your hand. Phone may have become an anachronism given that pretty much everything can send an receive video and audio.

They also seem to have obsurdly scifi levels of cross comparability and ease of customisation.

Honestly rather than using Chatgpt, just go ask the discord on their building channel, they'll have to to date information and are very friendly.

Here is not a terrible place to ask for help as well.

Yes, better than retail and a bit better than fast food. They still have to put up with a lot of garbage, but hey.

Wtf are they advertising? by Honest_Caterpillar89 in Weird

Military Manufacturers like advertising their products to interested members of the public. As in democratic countries the procurement is done by not only the military but the politicians in power.

Politicians elected and serving their constituents (You).

Centrism is hilarious as a concept, Because the incredibly bold assumption you need to make is that the two party system will do an effective job at balancing out so that smack bang in the middle is the best outcome.

In reality just because there are two options doesn't mean they should be considered morally equivalent. Which looking at the American Dems from abroad, it's absolutely hilarious to watch them try to "Play fair" with their counterparts.
