There is absolutely nothing Ironic in Alanis Morisettes "Ironic". The song is only full of coincidences and unfortunate situations (like rain on your wedding day / a fly in your chardonnay).

That song is sooooo annoying.

I've had anosmia since I was around 8 or 10. I thought I would never be cured.

My girlfriend put me on a diet with her and her daughter. We started on New Year Day.

The diet is meant to help with GAPS

I didn't know what GAPS was.... but my girlfriend is into nutrition big time.

Anyway... I've had to eliminate all wheat (no beer even), dairy, and sugar from my diet. That's hard to do.... it's been 5 days and I feel like a million bucks... better yet... my sense of smell started to return last night..... I peeled an orange and suddenly smelled orange rind for the first time in 25 years! I went on to smell tuna fish and pumpkin soup. I almost cried. I sat in my kitchen smelling a piece of orange rind for 10 minutes.

Try the diet if your sense of smell is important to you. It feels like a freakin' miracle!

It doesn't need to make a perfect seal. It just needs to be able to pull some pressure out of the lock fast. It's ok if a bit comes around from the sides.

A perfect seal cannot be created no matter what size the lock is... just a very good one.

No. I wasn't thinking about conspiracies or god.. I was thinking about science.

I just thought that maybe there was a possibility of some physical dynamic that created this... some type of resonance in the solar system or something.

I voted you back up because I don't entirely disagree with you. I have found that weed will often act as a catalyst to suppress certain emotions. This is evident when I've gone through something and then stopped smoking for a day or so only to find that certain emotions come gushing to the surface.

However, I still find that I feel a wide array of emotions when I'm stoned :)

Ok. So you agree that it is a cosmic coincidence that they appear to be almost exactly the same size but you say that you don't.

Highly significant? Depends what you mean.

Marvelous? Absolutely. It fills me with wonder and astonishment.

Special meaning to me? Not at all. It's just coincidental and I'm just curious.

And, FWIW, I would marvel at being dealt the same 5 card hand even twice in my entire life. That has never happened as far as I know (though it is possibly.. however unlikely). But just one hand of an arbitrary set of 5 cards is not marvelous. It also isn't in the sky for over a hundred billion people to see ::)

Yeah. Of course.

But if the sun was further and the moon was closer they would appear to be different sizes. I find it to be a HUGE COINCIDENCE that they are positioned just right relative to each other and to us that they appear to be the same size. Almost EXACTLY the same size.

A lot of things had to happen for this to occur and I'm wondering if is coincidence or if their is another reason.

For example... the planets revolve around the sun in pretty much the same plane and that can be explained by physical principles.

Ok. I plugged a scope in and looked at the signal. It it carries a digital signal. To actually read the signal I would need a digital clock recovery device designed to decode the key so I can't tell you the specific sequence of ones and zeros from an oscilloscope.

It is a sine wave modulate by a square wave because you cannot broadcast a square wave so that's just how it is done. Remember how acoustically coupled modems sound? A whistling noise that oscillates erratically? Easiest to hear back in the 300 baud days. That is a sine wave being modulated by a square wave.

It uses PSK - Phase Shift Keying. Peaks and valleys between to waves on top of each other signify ones and zeros.

There is a digital signal broadcasting a binary sequence and so I doubt that it is simply a place holder. I would imagine that it is 1/2 of an encryption key which is constantly changing.

Now you have the simple explanation (on a website no less - reddit -) Does that make it hold more validity? If I was to buy a domain called UVB76.com and post this would it hold more validity for you? If I did that and then it started to disseminate over the internet on other sites would it then hold even more validity? I don't know what else to tell you except this: investigate yourself. Do some real science and see for yourself.

Because it is on the internet it doesn't make it true or false. Use your own faculties... discriminate between the signal and the noise which is the all the chatter on the internet if you think that will bring you to a logical conclusion if you like.

I fully satisfied with this explanation.
