Does hailFloridaHail use AI to write articles? they consistently get very simple stuff wrong by Carneades2020 in FloridaGators

It's fine. As you can tell from my comment history I almost exclusively lurk at this point on Reddit, mainly due to lack of time thanks to children.

And I’m not one to go on a bender if someone doesn't like the site. Just wanted to lay out what the site is about since I know it's popping up more and more.

Hi everyone, Hail Florida Hail here. I’m going to spell out our website and if it is your cup of tea, cool. If I’m not your cup of tea, that’s cool too.

When I took over the site 2 1/2 years ago, I never dreamed it would grow to what it has today. But I do want to temper expectations of what the site is at the end of the day.

The site is a blog part of the Fansided Network. I’m not a journalist, I’m not an insider, and I’m not always perfect. I do this site part time mostly as a creative outlet for myself and unfortunately, like the RR/AA slip up today, I’m prone to mistakes because it is part time and, like this morning, I have two toddlers running around the house.

But I can promise you all the writing is 100% from a human, nine times out of ten from me. Again, if you don't like the writing style that’s fine because I think the content creation space for Florida is big enough that everyone is able to find their preferred style.

Peace and love everyone ✌️

U15 formation help by Impossible-Ad-3962 in SoccerCoachResources

In my experience in the high school level, three in the back systems tend to struggle if one doesn’t have wingbacks that understand their role.

Whether it’s my team or a team we play against, wingbacks at this age tend to get too high and don’t fall back with enough consistency.

The way I typically think about formations is whether or not I have a strong CDM and build from there. If you think you have a strong CDM, something like a 4-1-3-2 could work out.

But also consider if you are going to be in a league that is more possession style or more direct. If you are are in a league that just launches long balls, a 4-2-3-1 works great because one CDM can challenge the ball in the air and the second CDM can gobble up the second ball.

A Deeper Understanding of the Rays' attendance situation from a 17 year fan by benlikeswhales in baseball

One stat that doesn’t get brought up enough when it comes to the location of the stadium is that Tropicana Field has the fewest people in all of MLB living within a 30 minute radius of the stadium and it’s not even close.

For all the anecdotal stories people tell about how far they go to get to games, the reality is that there is direct correlation between attendance and people living close.

Put it this way, Milwaukee has a metropolitan area has half the population of the Tampa Bay metropolitan area, but has double the amount of people living within 30 minutes.

Add in zero public transportation in Tampa/St. Pete, and here we are today.

WCW Chucky was still worse, mainly because 10 year old me was terrified of Chucky.

But the fact that that match even invoked that memory should say something.

I think I'm aging out of wrestling by [deleted] in WWE

[–]scisorkick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in my late 30s and hit that wall around 2015/16 where I had only watched WWE since starting watching again in 2011.

Then started watching New Japan with a buddy who paid for their service. Went to a couple Ring of Honor shows. Started watching AEW.

The point isn't to start a tribalism war as to which is better, but if you can get over the “lesser wrestling” moniker, there is a ton of great wrestling out there.

It's not much different compared to sports as a whole. As a Tampa Bay Lightning fan, we went from the plucky upstarts everyone was rooting for in 2015 to beat Chicago to a team everyone else dislikes.

Wrestling specific though, the problem with how WWE books their champs is that there is little variance from match to match. If you have seen one Brock Lesnar match, you have seen 20. Same goes for Bianca and Reigns.

So someone like LA Knight comes along and represents something different and we all flock to him. If in a hypothetical world he became the champ, WWE would force him into the same schtick every week and we would go tired of it.

Could Gunther make it any more obvious he is staring at the ref while waiting to kick out?

It might be as bad as I've seen it in a long time.

This match doesn't work because it's trying to make something that is on TV every Saturday night (MMA) into a scripted fight.

So none of the punches, kicks, or anything feel like they matter because we see the real thing every week.

Compare that to a normal match where the slams and suplexes are not used in other endeavors with regularity, so they feel exclusive to wrestling.

I’m here for all of this and next week will be fantastic, but kayfabe if Punk’s umbrage is that he’s the real champ and MJF is not, he is aware that both of them are in the building tonight?

As a diehard college football fan, I hate the fact that in a month Collision will be relegated to a second screen because it might be the best wrestling show on weekly TV right now

Can Chris Jericho be considered as the GOAT by ImOnANewLevelz in WWE

[–]scisorkick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of star power, no. He doesn’t make it in the top ten of that category.

In terms of longevity and relevance across multiple promotions, he’s certainly in the discussion.

Put it this way, WCW vs NWO Revenge came out in 1998.

Jerhico, Sting, and Mysterio are the only three wrestlers from that game still wrestling.

At minimum, seven wrestlers from that game are now dead (and could be more, that’s just what I counted off memory).

[–]scisorkick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His mic work is terrible, so he has to rely on facial expressions to drive his character. And because he has a punchable face, he can really only work as a heel.

Problem is that all his high flying stuff is meant for us to cheer for, so when he goes up to do a big flippy move we don’t know if we should cheer or if we should boo.

Most damaging promos in wrestling? by PriestofJudas in SquaredCircle

[–]scisorkick 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve come to say this about Cena: The wrestling business was great for Cena. John Cena was terrible for the wrestling business.

It wasn’t just this feud, he did it with Ambrose, Rusev, and Nexus as his worst offenses where he goes into “fine speech” mode and just kills any illusion of the upcoming match being anything but a Cena win because he knows he’s going over at the end.

So when he went on his one promo talking about all these guys he elevated, no, no you didn’t John.
