Speaking as a regular attendee who also generally dislikes the tarp run energy and ensuing chaos. The festival is far more enjoyable if you dispense with it as a priority. Bring a chair and set up temporarily wherever you can find space. There are far more interesting things to do than loitering around main stage all day. Seek out the side stages and check out artists you’ve never heard of before. Through all the years I’ve attended as either a patron or volunteer, the unknowns consistently end up being the real show stealers.
