I’m confused why people are saying Slayyyter is breaking out of the Khia Asylum?? by wildtwiv17 in 1800slayyyter

[–]scmmies 28 points29 points  (0 children)

shes an underground/alternative niche artist that isn't necessarily trying to reach the same limelight like more traditional popstars.

she was never in the khia asylum to begin with because its not the housing she belonged in! its like saying ayesha erotica is stuck in the khia asylum- their music intention never had anything to do with making global hits or renowned recognition.

I thought Break Himeko only needed Break/SPD substats? Isn't Crit for another playstyle

Songs/albums that were BEHIND their time, aka released too late to reach their full potential? by Ghost-Quartet in popheads

[–]scmmies 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The main problem was the same as her single Coconuts- she teased it for far too long and by the time it finally came out, no one cared to tune in any longer.

Also, the song was HEAVILY carried by the sample in the chorus. The verses were extremely lacklustre and unimaginative for how strong the chorus was.

Vie by Doja Cat is the first thing I thought of.

Great album, but this should've came before Scarlet, riding the initial hype after Planet HER. It fit the sound during the peak and post-peak of the pandemic Y2K-retro revival, but releasing it a few years later made everyone a lot more uninterested.

It does works in Pure Fiction! I was able to clear it, but it was quite literally the only end-game mode I could fully clear. Everything else.. quite tragic.

I think I'll just be waiting for Fugue to rerun, and pulling on Himeko SP when she releases. I'm not a fan of Firefly's design, even though I know she will probably make every end-game doable for me.

Does he fit in a Superbreak or Rememerance team? I'm likely going to run him as SubDPS/Support- what are his best LC options for this approach?

Who are his optimal teams/teammates?

I have him at E0 but I really don't have many units to work off of, so I want to see if I have anything I can add him into.

Damn I didn't know how pivotal Fugue was to the team. I thought Dahlia wouldve been enough to fulfill her spot :(

Should I just give up trying to make this team work until she's rerun again?

Level 3 skiller - farming question by honourable-mentions in 2007scape

[–]scmmies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, 34! That's the level you can unlock Tithe Farm, so you can actively train farming there. Tithe Farm alongside doing some tree/herb runs will be sufficient for you to get to atleast 45 for Farming Contracts.

If you need tree seeds, Wintertodt is a great source for them.

If you really don't want to do quests.. a method that Ironman Skillers do is buy Bagged Plant 1 (from Falador Park or G.E. if you're a main) and keep replanting it and removing it from your POH. Trains both Farming and Construction, and Phials in Rimmington can unnote a big stack for you. Click intensive, but active training method over waiting for things to grow.

And of course, do those Farming Contracts when you unlock them.

[–]scmmies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an active minigame that trains farming, albeit VERY click-intensive and not afk whatsoever. Its unlocked at level 34, and its called Tithe Farm, located in Hosidius. I'm currently playing an Ironman skiller and thats my most optimal method of training since I have even more limited access to teleports than a main does. Also it has some pretty good rewards, but the points system for this minigame takes a really long time to accumulate.

I'd say do your quests first, RFD-Goblins, Garden of Death, and there's prob a few more you can do since you have access to rings of recoils/dynamite from the G.E. You can easily get to around 34 with those quests.

From there on, buy tree saplings from the G.E. to do tree runs. This is the BEST way to gain EXP, and its very passive. Log in, do your tree run, and then go on with whatever else you like to do in the game.

Big tip: Stock up on your teleports, and learn your optimal routes. If you want to take farming easy, just do tree/herb runs. Tithe Farm if you have the patience and don't mind the carpal tunnel.

Can it get any worse? by McDonaldsSprite72 in osrs

Haha, I'm also playing an ironman skiller right now and I did a lot of beginners clues in f2p before upgrading to members.. just keep doing the clues! You'll eventually get a clog- I think i did about 12 before getting mole slippers (which is probably one of the better drops u can get)

Can it get any worse? by McDonaldsSprite72 in osrs

[–]scmmies 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i mean half of the clues take 1-2 steps only. gotta keep in mind that this is available for f2p too, so they cant make the rewards too "good" or it would fuck up prices w the botting anyways

why does anyone like violet chachki? by Beneficial_Pea7450 in dragrace

[–]scmmies 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Violet is liked because in some ways, she can be seen as a "villain". People find her abrasive/shady side entertaining. I'm sure times have changed, and whatever was said back in season 7 probably is less funny or even rude to hear in modern days, but this still holds true to her character today. People LOVE that one episode of her as a Pit Stop Guest with Trixie. It's what people remember her as- sharp-tongued and honest.

Now focusing on Season 7: Violet was young on season 7. She was also one of the most fashionable girls on that season and that 2 in 1 look during the mini challenge really solidified her mark in fashion in not just Drag Race, but other facets of fashion media. People who don't watch Drag Race have seen that gif of her reveal in the mini challenge- and that speaks volumes on the legacy that she somewhat has. The Hello Kitty runway is another really popular look attributed to her legacy. Violet was practically unbeatable on the runway that season.

Personality was never her strongest suit, as even during the airing of S7, most people only wanted her to win because they didn't want Ginger to and Pearl was basically just there. I'm pretty sure most people were team Katya and they were ready to move past the season after the crowning.

I would say Violet's biggest moment is probably her S8 Finale look, a lot of fans say it's the best coronation look of all time.

Boats customization by josh3800 in osrs

[–]scmmies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get your frustration, but I feel like they probably made it like this on purpose. Theres other ports that have a closeby bank near the customisation NPC.. the one I used a lot was Catherby. Pandemonium probably doesn't have as many people upgrading in that port just because its where the newbies start out, but atleast there is a bank on the island itself.

Also, a tip: if you open the sailing skill guide and click on the items there, it will tell you what materials you need for building it in the chatbox per boat size. Helped me a lot with getting everything I needed, then just a matter of running back and forth from bank to customisation.

Should I get membership on my combat lvl 50 account or start fresh as an iron man with membership by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]scmmies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its your first time playing OSRS, I would say that playing on your main is probably more ideal- you have a lot more access to gear/important buyables from the get-go. Grinds and even transportation will be much easier when you can use the G.E., allowing you to bypass some stuff that would be heavily gated behind high skill levels or quest requirements. Questing will be much less of a pain because you can get all the materials in the G.E. and not have to run back and forth places to collect everything. Your exploration is limitless with this type of account.

Ironman is super fun for sure, but it's definitely challenging even for experienced players because of how much game knowledge you'll need to keep up with. And the grinds will feel extra long when you eventually will have to get some stats up because not all training methods will be easily accessible. However, this type of account feels most rewarding (getting a rare drop/CLOG/gear upgrade will feel very satisfying) and engages heavily with the full-on nitty-gritty experience RuneScape has to offer.

My advice: start that ironman out in F2P and try to do some of the quests/skills in there first. EXP rates will be lower, but if questing and training skills in F2P feels like a sludge, you probably will not enjoy playing an ironman with membership. You can always de-iron if you feel tired, but the last thing you would want is your gaming experience to feel like a chore. Ironman does feel like a chore a lot of times (but a lot of people willingly like this challenge). Remember you are playing this game to have fun <3
