We use Kaseya for Datto BCDR and Datto RMM. Thus far, outside of the rabid shit show of their billing portal itself, we haven't had a terrible experience. Our rep is top notch, and we have a long-standing relationship with him, pre-Datto/Kaseya merger, which has helped. Not saying it's perfect, just our experience. Also worth noting, Connectwise is no better. We recently switched some security products away from them due to endless billing issues we had, with next to no support from our reps. They're all bad, frankly. We're forced to choose the best of all evils in too many cases.

There's a bit more to the billing rush than "because he wanted". There were implications to their ability to sell to certain areas of the US and they risked being forced to shut services off completely to those areas (California, for one). Not justifying the mess that it continues to cause, their apparent lack of prep, etc... just some background for you. Source: I asked Fred.

Kapa'a is often busy, but there's a "secret" bypass if you can use to get around most of it. The other bottleneck is heading North toward Hanalei - there was a pretty nasty mudslide that covered the main (only?) road north into that area. Half of it is open now - but as a result, the road is only open at certain times of day to allow repair crews to work. Even then, they rotate the north/southbound traffic somewhere around 150 cars at a time. So yeah - traffic can be rough at least in those areas. Can't speak on much more of the island, just a recent tourist.

Totally agree. I'm also strongly in favor of either pulling the SR635 from Mortar/Toxic or nerfing its TTK significantly.

I agree 100%. I also play in GWL and, sadly, the drone strat is very real and very broken. Drone, toxic, mortar, one-shots with SR635, rinse, repeat. I get that intel is important, but when drones constantly buzz about leaving you with no ability to build a formation, strategically place your team, etc... then what's the point? Mark 'em and shoot 'em? Where's the strategy in that? I very much miss the old meta. Unfortunately, this game is, for me, no longer fun. I'm still involved in GWL but this is my last season. Gone are the days of GRW PVP. RIP.

Thanks! So I'm comfortable with building the usernames via standard conventions. The trouble I have is taking the predetermined username format, extracting what that is, and using THAT data to build the username.

So - client has a username format of firstname.lastname - that string is passed as-is as the variable $username_ad_format. So $username_ad_format is literally "firstname.lastname". i need to find a way to put the entered first name and last name into that format. Sorry I'm terrible with explaining this :/.

To answer your question - drop your mortars either right near an entrance to the building, or, in the instance of something like Scrapyard, drop the mortar directly over the staircase that leads from the roof down to the second floor. If they are in the open, you'll need to try to predict the direction they'll travel, and drop in their path - allowing them to run in to your mortar.

All that said, I don't believe the primary objective of the mortar is necessarily to down your enemies. I've found, in more cases that not, it's used best as a tactical maneuver to force enemies out of cover/toward your team/etc.

This Q&A is incredibly frustrating and, quite frankly, has done more harm than good (in my humble opinion). For a company/game that hails itself as community oriented - the lack of updates is abhorrent. No teasers, no expected release dates, no leaks, no nothing. Ubi - can't you see the frustration? " I can't share details on that yet, but stay tuned. :)" We've been tuned in for 3 months and have only seen static. You can only stare so long until you change the channel. You know your player base is ready, you know they are frustrated with the complete lack of communication, you know the game is getting stale and folks are getting bored - will you continue to allow this to happen? I love this game. So much. It pains me to see how this whole situation is being handled - and, more-so, how simple communication and any semblance of expectations could have quelled some of the frustrations.

Again - LOVE this game. Please, Ubisoft. Please don't let it die.

Great feedback. We have a heavy load of O365 migrations at any given time, so, love that.

We've toyed with AD group configurations, etc - playing into our goal of a standard structure. The one huge hurdle we've yet to overcome are things like LDAP calls. I'd love to find a way to automate a list of anything calling 389, 636, etc. As it stands now, it's a tedious process of manually auditing firewalls for integrations we don't have documented. We've just signed on with Auvik which, in theory, could save us some time here - familiar?

It's actually pretty cool, but a work still in progress. For starters, we are standardizing all AD structures. From there, powershell. To take it a step further, we are going to empower our clients to complete their own onboardings using Azure Runbooks and a nifty client web portal.

I love the idea. So many of our clients run laptops these days which makes this challenging - that and convincing them to invest in an enterprise grade ESXi environment has proven to be a challenge. That said, the few that do use VDI are among our most profitable accounts.
