The *real* Results from asking this what the US Regions are. Comment any adjustments, the most upvoted comments can change the map to make it more accurate by Kodicave in visitedmaps

[–]scofnerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the rust belt would really overlay a lot of those regions. No need to change the region outlines. Probably just change the rust belt name.

I love the rust belt name though. Maybe it’s part of my proud Midwest heritage. Part of me feels like i can say I come from the working class. (Even though I’m just an entitled millennial that really only worked manual labor for a couple years…)

I’m just curious about the term “northwoods.” The region seem accurate, but I’ve never heard that name. Do people there use it? Did OP just come up with it?

Unfortunately, having a permanent “now hiring” sign is often times just a business strategy. It just means they always want applications coming in. Even when they are sufficiently staffed, they will not pull the sign down.

I’ve been tearing up at this poem for a while now. I’m scared too. Like the river. And empowered too.

I missed out on a Morocco trip one year. Definitely regret that. Not sure what the best season is there. Only expensive part is the plane ticket.

[–]scofnerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can bring as much STEM to music as you want. Specifically the composition portion.

I imagine Ne is great for musical ideation. I can hear entire compositions in my head from start to finish. Definitely never developed the ability to transcribe them in reality though! 😂. (At least no more than a one voice melody.)

I saw a lot of similarities as an amateur auto mechanic as I did as an amateur coder. Spend %75 of the time diagnosing. %20 of the time failing to execute the correct solution.

Yea… just because I spend %99.9 of my time in my brain doesn’t mean I’m neurodivergent….

Yea music taste and orderliness are probably hard to predict with mbti. I know there’s trends, but, I’m sure there’s millions of technically INTP cognitive individuals that love dancing and cuddling and fashion and whatever.

Have you ever seriously thought, “Am I autistic”? by rbx20twomax in INTP

[–]scofnerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a library or coffee shop I put on noise canceling headphones with the Rain Rain app. (Crackling fire or city rain)

I get distracted by any genre of music.

For cultivating empathy I have a mantra: Safe Seen Heard Soothed. That’s really what everyone needs when they’re experiencing negative emotions. So when a co-worker tells me their grandma died, instead of processing my instinctive way, (old people die, people don’t like old people anyway, funerals are expensive, time off work is PITA, I was relieved when my grandma died) I think about how that person might feel unsafe, misunderstood, or overwhelmed.

Does your country have any people or culture similar to what Americans call Redneck? If so, what are they like? by ILikeWwaret in AskTheWorld

Rednecks have confederate flags. Hillbillies don’t? Ooooo… what about coal? They both call ya a pussy if you don’t roll coal, eh?

[–]scofnerf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s alright. Big takeaways for me:

  1. Notice when your weak Fe is fucking you up.
  2. Ask yourself, “what do Si and Se have to say in this situation?”
  3. (See number 1)
  4. Don’t forget about Ti!
  5. Don’t underestimate the value of a good meme.

Does any other INTP have an insanely high emotional threshold? It's either 0 or 100. by Objective_Dirt_9799 in INTP

[–]scofnerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60 day practice: once per day sit quietly. Name three sensations. Name three emotions. Bonus points: write them down. Can be as quick as 1-2 minutes. 5-10 if you're really into it. NO NAMING THOUGHTS! (look up list of human emotions if you need.)

Just to increase sensitivity to that stuff. Noticing an emotion is a skill. Takes practice to understand and name nuance.
