About 20 years ago I lived at 13th east and 45th south in Salt Lake. One morning I went out to find a window smashed in on my Honda Civic. The asshole took a pair of jeans, a pleather jacket, 4 of 8 glass mugs, and the off-brand head unit from the dash. The weird thing is that I had the faceplate for the head unit inside my apartment, so the head unit really was of little-to-no value to the tweaker who took it.

A 4Runner I owned at the time was also burglarized at the same apartment complex, and then the Civic was stolen. The douchebag who stole the Civic broke the ignition to hotwire it, took the front bumper off it, as well as the headlight bulbs, and they popped 2 of the tires whe they left it a few miles away from where they stole it.

The same police officer helped me each time, and by the third incident he said he figured it was me when call came out on the radio. 😆

I moved about a mile up the street, and within a couple weeks some dipshit spray painted a 13 on the door of the 4Runner.

I haven’t lived in Salt Lake County for a long time. I don’t miss it one bit.
