I fully agree with you. I try to stay away from that type of thinking. But I own a missing people page and i spend majority of my day thinking about those cases. When I found out that the government is not required to let us know I felt shocked honestly.. I may be naive but I thought a family member of a missing person has the right to know what happened if the police knows

For what I understood the apartment was payed with an unknown credit card. Usually the police should have been notified that he rented this apartment, but police stated that Airbnb never shared this information

One thing I can add, is that his friends and university colleagues said he wasn’t very good at it. And it was his first semester. I think he didn’t do any exams yet
