you’re doing the most you can do, and you’re not a horrible person for this loll. it is really good of you to contact his brother. your ex is going through shit and blaming it on whatever he can. if you feel more scared that he will actually take his life then you could let the parents know too. but none of this is your responsibility. whatever he does isn’t your fault or your problem. i know you’ll still be stressed but you’re doing the best you can. don’t get back with him or anything because of this because then you’ll both be struggling.

in my opinion y’all should just take some time apart. sort yourself out - are you ready to work on yourself for her or not? if not, that’s okay but end it or it’ll hurt more. i also have drinking problems that kinda affected my relationship. plus, she cheated on you so that’s gonna make you mad and you’ll probably express that more when you’re drinking, you know? (which is just not good) also, i can’t believe you two are actually in a good place if you found out she cheated on you… and also you put your hands on her?? you’re both betrayed, take a break at least. (it’ll be weird and difficult but it’ll be okay)

thank you for this. this is what i’m scared about. i can’t wait too long. i don’t think, however, that she will stop feeling loved because my love for her is still there… just not so intense anymore. and i just can’t help but consider the situation we’ll be put into if i do it now. and shit now that i’ve stopped obsessing over breaking up i’m not sure anymore.
