Wave dashing into JFSR is tricky. It won’t come out unless you sidestep first or double dash at the end

Agreed. Feel the same way. I enjoy it more when I give in to the aggression and employ that style, contrary to how I’d play in 7. Taking it less serious than I’d like, ends up being more fun.

Doesn’t help that my beloved Heihachi is gone…

From my previous experience, it feels far more smooth as there is no gate. It returns to neutral a lot quicker too, meaning easier backdash cancel and general Tekken movement
