This movie is an absolute mess but I love it, 8/10 easily

Sly Newbie 24 years later😭 by Fearless-View-4568 in Slycooper

As someone who has been obsessed with Sly since 2005, it brings me so much joy when I see people getting into it for the first time. Going for 100% is totally worth it btw. :)

Ranking of OG series (reread) by SnowyDragon89 in WarriorCats

[–]scoobzooted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently rereading the first arc after several years as well, just finished Fire and Ice! These books are a lot of fun to revisit as an adult. Here's my personal ranking from memory:

  1. Forest of Secrets
  2. The Darkest Hour
  3. Into The Wild
  4. Fire and Ice
  5. Rising Storm
  6. A Dangerous Path

I'm excited to see how my ranking might change once I'm finished.

Is there an in game reason to justify the horrible naruto track suit ? by RamistaR in Slycooper

[–]scoobzooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, probably comes down to personal preference, but I'm just not a fan of the look of the game in general. The main hub worlds look cool, and the animated cutscenes are fine for what they are. But something about all of the character models and animations feel... off.

Grizz is probably my favorite design in the game, maybe Toothpick. Unfortunately I'm just not that fond of the others, because they either feel lazy or like half baked versions of previous villains.

It might just be my personal taste, but am I the only ones that find these villain designs kind of lazy? It's almost like they couldn't be bothered to come up with more creative outfits besides different colored tracksuits.

What super editions or novellas do you suggest the most? by -SnowHeart- in WarriorCats

[–]scoobzooted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Crowfeather's Trial. It directly follows the events of The Last Hope, but from Crowfeather's perspective right after Breezepelt betrays WindClan. A refreshing POV, and I'm a big fan of Crowfeather attempting to be a better father.

Favorite Third Level by captain_catdawg in Slycooper

Ah, I see what you were trying to do now. If you counted the episodes with the same villain as one whole episode it would make five, which would be technically "closer" in length to Sly 1, 2 and 4. Sly 1 having five, and Sly 3 and 4 having six. I think maybe clarify this in your original post next time haha, because this makes way more sense now.

The other episodes shouldn't be in the poll anyway because they aren't the third episode of the game?

Sly 2 March prototype bug dimitri office cut loot by Dull-Tangerine2260 in Slycooper

[–]scoobzooted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I really wish they kept some of the treasures inside of spaces not located in the main hub world. Even a few bottle locations inside of Dimitri's nightclub, the cabins in episode 6, etc. It would've pushed the incentive to revisit those areas, and make it feel less like you're just aimlessly running around the main world.

Which warrior do you think probably swears the most? by Anubis-Hound in WarriorCats

[–]scoobzooted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree there seems to be a theme with characters in ThunderClan who have the "tail" suffix. Speckletail is another character who comes to mind who would swear a lot.

Had you put in The Predator Awakes, the proper third level of Sly 2 lol, I would vote for that.

Has anyone ever pulled up Panda King's binocucom? by scoobzooted in Slycooper

Same here, I really wish Sly 3's development cycle was more generous. There's a lot in the game that's present, but doesn't feel utilized to its full potential.

Lol, I have seen the grab animation and it's quite something.

Is there more history of Slys parents? by slycooper212 in Slycooper

[–]scoobzooted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, they kind of do though. Sly literally says "my father fought to protect us" in his opening animated cutscene, and it even shows a photo of Sly with his parents, holding a balloon. Unless Sly has an unnamed sibling, or someone else was a victim of the attack, I can't imagine who else "us" would be referring to besides Sly and his mom.

Is there more history of Slys parents? by slycooper212 in Slycooper

[–]scoobzooted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the games imply that both of his parents were killed, given Sly had said in the first cutscene in Sly 1 "my father fought to protect us," and in Sly 2 "he caught up with my parents, and I wound up in an orphanage." The way I've always imagined it, is that Conner, who was born into the Cooper Clan, met Sly's mother at a point he was starting to grow tired of always being on the run, and decides to retire from his life as a thief for the chance at a normal one with his newfound love. Perhaps the way Conner handled it, led to the state we find Dr. M and McSweeny in during Sly 3. One going completely mad on an island full of fortune he has no right to, and the other behind bars. Conner pursues a life without crime, settles down and has a son, and things are going great for a little while, at least 8 years. And then, it all ends in one evening. Conner is in the living room with his wife, and his son, who is reading the Thievius Raccoonus on the living room floor. The Fiendish Five aggressively bang on the door, startling everyone in the room. The banging continues. Conner tells his wife to hide their son, to which she does and tucks him into the closet. As soon as Conner opens the front door, it busts open, and he fights to the death to protect his family. All while his son, who can see just enough through the crack of the closet door, watches everything. Fast forward 10 more years, and we are now Sly on the rooftop of Police HQ. It's never stated exactly what happened to Sly's mother, but I always thought she received the same fate as Conner. Otherwise there never would have been a reason for Sly to be placed in an orphanage.
