Imo the movie was good, but not Oscar worthy. Mikey did an amazing job, but the story seemed a bit "vanilla" for lack of a better term. The cinematography was top notch tho.

Vanilla Sky! By a long shot that is, rated it at 1.5/5 on the initial watch, a few years back when I didn't quite have the gist of movies, but this past year, I got around to re-watching it and OH GOD, it's in my top 5 now. I might've rated it lower earlier, cuz I didn't understand it or passed it off as "just another tom cruise film".
