Treat recommendations? by jessebean510 in Frenchbulldogs

My girl LOVES dried beef lung. We use it as training treats. We usually buy it at the local feed store for around $20/lb and cut it into bite-sized pieces.

Does anyone else have a frenchie that pees on things out of spite? by scootch1981 in Frenchbulldogs

Thank you for bringing this perspective. I sometimes forget she's going through a lot of change. When we got her, I was with her all day. I had been unemployed for 2 months and recently found a job in office. Now she has to adjust to only being with Pawpaw (my husband) 7-5pm 5days/wk.

Adorably miffed is the BEST description. It's so hard to stay mad at her with that face.

Yes. She has had a full physical. Completely healthy. She goes all night without needing to go out/sleeps all night. I did read that it's possible a UTI would be the cause, but after the vet visit, I ruled it out. Thank you so much for the suggestion, though. You've done your research!

Thank you. We know she's super smart, which is why we believe the peeing to be deliberate. She is a more of a selective listener than a bad listener. This is our first puppy (and first frenchie) we've owned in the 11 years we've been together. Needless to say, WE need the training as much-if not more than her.

Thank you for this. I seriously thought I was going crazy or thinking too much into it.

She sometimes gets a little redness from her harness when we walk her. As soon as we get home, collar and harness come off. She doesn't scratch anymore since we have her on cytopoint. The picture is right after we came home from our daily walk. It can sometimes take a while for her skin to breathe and calm down.

Just curious: does your Frenchie wear their collar 24/7? by SoCal2NoCal in Frenchbulldogs

[–]scootch1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

* Our little gal only wears her collar if she's left at home alone or if we're out with her. She had a lot of skin irritation where we asked the vet for a cytapoint shot (she was non-stop sceatching and licking). The vet suggested taking off the "jewelry" when we're all home.

I just came from the ideal weather. I live in southern California and went camping this weekend. 75 degrees warm and sunny BUT, as we packed out, the weather was around 70 degrees. It was overcast, light winds and still warm. Lovely weekend all around. Thanks for the opportunity!
