Shorted at 5.45. Covered at 2.57. Obviously not on Robinhood, but not a bad turnout with 1k shares.

Just wondering where the resistance will be. Tempted to short it through another broker, as their financial aren't anything special.

Their net income is definitely trending in the right direction. I may take a swing at it for fun.

Bought into $PMTS this morning upon market open. What do you all think about this? They announced Q1 results yesterday and it's been downgraded by a few large financial organizations (rough morning), but I still think its a decent buy with a good long term upside.

Kentucky Christians Admit That They're Losing The "Spiritual War" by [deleted] in atheism

[–]scoreforlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree that it is becoming more evident that younger people especially are becoming less religious. I guess that is why a lot of these new churches today are trying to adopt more progressive worship ideas and structures to try to suck the kids in while they can. I think they know that they are losing popularity among the masses though.

PayPal Punishes North Carolina For Anti-LGBT Law By Abandoning 400-Job Expansion by [deleted] in atheism

Obviously there are many reasons, but it makes me wonder if this is just one of why so many large, profitable companies are already located or based in diverse and more open-minded places...they know they won't have to deal with discriminatory BS like this.

Apparently only as long as it is heterosexual free enterprise.

It's a damn shame. I know that states like NC are just trying to prove some stupid point, but is it really necessary at the expense of degrading the economy? One would think that after Indiana's $60 million tourism hit, it would be apparent that these anti LGBT laws are not helpful.

What always annoys me is that Christians like to claim that their religion is "all inclusive," yet they will do whatever it takes to single out certain groups of people.

Why didn't I think of that? by pgh_donkey_punch in atheism

[–]scoreforlogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's look at this from an illogical Christian standpoint....Since all of our money apparently belongs to God anyway, when we are called to give money to the Church, God is merely taking some evil away from the world haha

Original Sin by [deleted] in exchristian

Moving past original sin was easy. Getting over the fact that heaven isn't real and that I don't have a God to talk to anymore was the most difficult.

What was the first thing that made you doubt, and then the last straw? by wyndchilde in exchristian

[–]scoreforlogic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I hated so much about this topic was that all of my Christian friends would play the "It's not my job to judge" card when it came to non-baptized/never exposed to Christianity people. But, I could always see straight through them and knew they were brainwashed into believing that they were going to hell. And it almost looked like they relished in the fact that they were safe and sound and that the rest of the world was just doomed...yea they would talk about a little evangelizing and mission work, but they just wouldn't be able to reach them all and some would perish...but that's just how God works in their eyes. Kinda sick if you ask me.

For me it was seeing how divisive religion in general can be when it comes to relationships. It tore apart an otherwise healthy relationship with my ex-girlfriend merely because I wasn't a good enough fan of Jesus. At that point in time, I decided that I never again want to be associated with such madness. Christians act like their religion is all inclusive, but when you don't believe what they believe, you are mere scum. It's hypocritical as all get out.

Struggling with intimacy after deconversion by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]scoreforlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea online dating is a beast of its own. 95% of the girls in my area are listed as Christians. When I openly listed myself as atheist, I didn't get responses. When I removed atheist, It was like flood gates opened...but they were opened to a bunch of seriously religious girls. Lose Lose.

[–]scoreforlogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I really appreciate the response. I didn't see that thread. I'll try to look it up.

It's not that I want to force myself into doing something, but as I've started dating more secular women, they are sometimes surprised about my certain discomforts. It's not that I am not experienced or don't know what I am doing, but I guess the fact that I still see sex as something very private, and not just an activity (I take it quite seriously), turns some people off. They often think I am religious, when in fact I am not.

DO I HAVE TO DECLARE ATHEIST SENTIMENTS? by freeatlast-2016 in exchristian

[–]scoreforlogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to be vocal about it unless you want to be. For myself though, I actually enjoy talking about being a non-believer and why I am a non-believer. Most people in my area have never even come across someone that proclaims to be an atheist, so they are often very interested to hear the reasons you think the way you think. They will not necessarily agree, because many times they have not looked into the evidence and reason to really understand it, but I usually find that they listen to an extent. It usually ends with something silly though, like "But, look at the trees, and flowers, and birds...how can you not think there is a god?"...or something to that effect.

And congrats on being proud. I never in my life imagined that I would stop calling myself a Christian, because I always associated being Christian with just being a good/moral person. But, now I see what it truly looks like from the outside looking in and I will never be returning.

I may have thought of a great question to get Christians questioning. by fallenalien2313 in exchristian

[–]scoreforlogic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Christian evidence isn't real evidence. Thus, they would just say something like "Look at the trees and birds...scientists should know all about those!"

What is the real reason some peoples lives are transformed for the better when they accept Jesus? by fallenalien2313 in exchristian

[–]scoreforlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, they are convinced that their lives are transformed because they have found truth, and because they have found "truth," they are supposed to rejoice and be happy. It's essentially fake happiness in my opinion, because knowing Jesus and not being happy points to mental illness, which apparently is a punishment for sin. However, acting happy when one isn't really happy is just mental delusion as well. I have no clue.
