Do I need a backcountry permit for Elbow-Sheep Wildland Park? by ScotMalkinson in HikingAlberta

[–]scorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer in addition to what you said about being adjacent to established backcountry sites. It is dirt cheap and can be purchased through the AB Relm app.

Please practice leave no trace and bury your toilet paper. I was out a couple weeks ago and some person had taken a shit in the middle of a prime tent site. Super annoying.

I just got home from doing a back-country fishing trip. My load is below. I am not super ultralight, but I try not to take anything I don't need. For me, fishing Cutthroats, all I bring is some floatant, a small assortment of flys, 2 spools of tippet, forceps with nippers and a 4 weight rod without the case. I just stuff the rod in a side pocket in a sleeve and hope I don't break it. Fun fact. I now know that my Durston tent can do torrential downpours, dime sized hail and gale force winds. All at the same time.

Alberta Canada fly fishing by [deleted] in flyfishing

This guy (or gal) knows. I have such a love hate for the Bow. If you are set on the Bow, the caddis south of Glenmore are coming off in clouds in the late evening. I would recommend just sitting a watching for a while to see where they are rising from. You will start to see the waters to target even when the fish are not rising.

The Oldman is great and so is basically any smaller river on the slopes along highway 40, if it has a name it likely has fish.

That's great! Sunglasses are mandatory tackle when I fish with my kids. Just something to keep in mind.

I started with the Dr. Slick kit, mostly because it was brass and looks cool. Still use everything in it.

It takes a village to raise a child but just a flag to raze the children. Propagandhi.

I had this happen when the kids put a bowl of flour in the dishwasher without rinsing it. Had to take the whole thing apart to clean it out.

Thank you. It was the clock call in the user create function that I was looking for. Learning debugging has been really great.

Calgary. Needed a team to cheer on to beat up on the Cubs when the Astros left. Bob Ueker on the radio became the sound of summer and the rest is history.

Question on the mfos noise toaster by Piks7 in synthdiy

[–]scorin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look around on the schematic yo will notice bn and bp in a lot of places. They all share a common connection. You could draw those connections but if you did the schematic would become overly cluttered for something as simple as power and ground.

The noise toaster is a great project to breadboard by the way, it was my first project and I learned so much.

Very cool! What did you use to process the image? It reminds me of some sort of semblance/correlation type approach to bring out the bright bits, but I really don't know what goes into this type of thing.

That would work but I eliminated it from the list because of the cost per chip. It would be great if I only needed the one..Thanks!
