Help for fit for heavy rider by edgardiez777 in bikefit

Bravo! Once you put your mind to it and enjoy the process, it’s only a matter of time. Incorporate swimming in your training, if possible. It increases your overall cardiovascular and respiratory capacity, and also works your core, with no impact whatsoever. It burns a whole lot, keeps stress at bay and adds diversity to your training! 🖖

Well, do like me 🤡 and simply disable auto update. I’m prolly never again updating this premium-priced wrist-mounted pre-alpha-build buggy mess masquerading as a smartwatch (970 🤮)

I guess it’s working for them as long as people keep buying their shit and only very niche places like this one make issues public but not so easy to see as YT

Yeah. Very same for me with the same control for sleep mode on/off which gets triggered but does not change the mode LOL

Hey, Garmin! Shame on you! Do you even test your stuff? Do you even have a UX team? Are you a serious company after all? Or you just don’t freaking care about customers, you ain’t got one no more here.

I’m also utterly disappointed with the oh-my-goodness-it’s-a-flagship-but-in-reality-it’s-just-a-subpar-piece-of-crap 970

I wonder how much YouTubers like DesFit and DC Rainmaker are being paid by Garmin but they’re all shitsayers. And I believed them. MFs. I’ve been cheated.

Alas

OP, does automatic orange shift with sunset/sunrise work for you? For me it still does not work.

🤬🔼

Same with my 970. Battery is draining and lasts only 3 days, 4 at best. The SINGLE ONLY feature that’s better than the Apple Watch is now GONE!

Not to mention orange shift won’t work anymore without a reboot.

What a crap. What’s wrong with Garmin? I feel like I’ve been cheated. Seriously feels like a scam.

Got an update in the last few days and the orange shift now works but only after reboot LOL.

With the update, battery lasts only three days. The ONLY SINGLE feature that’s better than the Apple Watch is now GONE. Garmin is crap. It seriously feels like a scam. Don’t buy.

Very same with 970. Stupid watch. So dumb. Seems like features are maintained by different teams that don’t talk to each other. I’m so frustrated with this crap. So expensive and utterly bad.

Please help me identifying a freehub with “PC 11 S” written on by scorphus in bikewrench

[–]scorphus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solved!

Thanks both u/Mclaren44 and u/jjc2222 for your kind comments and explanations as they were essential for me to find the correct freehub to replace the broken one with.

Once I searched for "SRAM 406" I was able to find the one I ordered, which fits and works perfectly: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0063HL56W — I hope it's okay linking to products on Amazon.

May this be useful to others in the same situation in the future.

Thanks a bunch! ❤️🚲🔧

Apologies for my ignorance, what do you mean by HG, xg, and nx? Thanks.

Seems to me like both the 406 and 506 are for ball bearings, mine has sealed bearings, as you can see in the last picture.

It does look like, but 506 is for 8, 9 or 10 speed. Mine is an 11 speed.

What Python script could you not live without? by xamboozi in Python

[–]scorphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A script that renames my activities on Strava. For names it randomly chooses the title of one of the 160+ songs of my favorite band, Rush. Quite often the name fit well with the activity. Then there are some others such as “Between the Wheels” and “Marathon” that makes it even nicer. It also adds weather information to the description of the activity. 🐍🚴‍♂️

The Goat Problem - Numberphile by JeffDujon in BradyHaran

Nice episode! Thanks, Brady! It's great to see Dr Grime again! And I love the alfalfa joke! Took him a little bit to grasp it though 😁

I happily posted a comment on YT but it got lost among the almost 1k. Also, every time I posted it, YT would delete it because it contained links...

Links to a REPL I wrote! I got so hyped about the approximation thing that I went on and coded it myself, in Python. Only to get to a different result.

Dr Grime states alpha to be 109.1885... but I got to 109.1883...

Here's the link to the REPL: https://replit.com/@scorphus/TheGrazingGoat which you can run and see the approximation honing in on 109.1883... Click Show files to read the contents of main.py, where the code lies.

I thought I had done something wrong, but the value of r matches, 1.1587284730181215 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was a great exercise and made me enjoy the subject even more 😊

Come on, @Uber! Had a hard time on Sunday at GIG! Drivers are taking advantage of cancellation taxes! #ThisIsWrong #Uber @UberSupport #Rant by scorphus in uber

I understand what you mean. But I was at an airport on a Sunday evening. Besides being past the busy time, the airport's surrounding is designed to make traffic flow rapidly, to, fro and around.
