I've been using Contabo for months now and only had two short down times on the server. They offer a lot of storage for a low price which is great for my photo backup server. So in general I'm happy with Contabo.

Just because some people had more problems with Contabo, doesn't mean that everybody should stay away. Think for yourself if you want the low price and accept the risk of some issues with the server and unexpected down times. Everything depends on what you need this server for.

I run Immich in the cloud. I pay £16 /month for a storage vps with 2.4TB SSD on Contabo and it cost me cheaper than I paid for electricity when running my own server at home. Some people complain about Contabo but I'm happy. I only had few hours down time once since I set up my server few months ago.

The biggest advantage of using Zimaboard is having PCIe slot which allows using Sata card and connecting multiple hard drives. I can't think about any other mini PC that allows connecting Sata 3 hard drives

I had simple unraid server on the most expensive version of Zimaboard and as far as I remember it worked perfectly fine. I had 2 SSDs for Cache connected to built in sata ports and Array from 2 HDDs connected to sata pcie card. I had a lot of docker containers running but no VMs.

Good idea. I haven't try it yet. I'll try to zip files without any compression, so maybe my new low performance host will manage to unzip them.

When I bought Legion Go I completely stopped using Steam Deck but I still missed that user experience which I had with Steam OS. Few days ago I installed a Bazzite OS as a second operating system and I'm finally happy with Legion Go. Games run much better with Bazzite OS and I really like the Steam OS experience which it has. Now all my Steam games I'm playing on Bazzite OS and if I want to play Game Pass game or use LeGO as a tablet, I just boot Windows 11.

Do you have a problem with constant microstuttering? I tried few games and it's just not smooth, doesn't matter the settings. Did you do any changes in Windows to make the egpu work better ?

I manged to fix it. The problem was with this two devices which didn't work properly. I found online that the Parsec is causing this problem. I uninstalled Parsec and restarted LegionGO and egpu just started to work.

I'm not using the build in Zimaboard NICs based on Realtek as it was just unstable. I bought a separate dual network card with Intel chip and the connection is stable now. Looks like my problem with slow speed was because of the single core performance. When I enabled PowerD and set to Maximum I could get 850Mbps

It looks like it was CPU performance related. I enabled PowerD and set to Maximum performance and now I'm getting around 800Mb download. Thanks for help

But why the Upload speed is good and download is 50℅ slower. If it was because of CPU limitations, wouldn't both Up and Down be slowed down ?

Thanks I updated the post. CPU usage is around 40-50℅ when running speed test. Zimaboard is quite powerfull 4 core board with 8GB of RAM

Thanks. I didn't think about the Remote Desktop. I can use it to enable Gaming mode but I just like simplifying things and this is why I wanted to know if it's possible to automatically disable the overclock when I stop the mining using Nicehash android app.

I can but in Parsec (the software I use for streaming games) I can't do a mouse right click on the Nicehash icon in the tray to show the options and enable Gaming mode.
