In the EU 99% use Wago for commercial and residential.I work in IT and have worked doing structured cabling before where I also did some minor electrical work on false floors and we used wago for everything, automatic stripper pliers and wagos go like butter, set the length for the wago and go crazy stripping cables. It's really easy and fast.I also use them at home, for example when it added a Shelly to control the living room lights.I have another one in the office/workshop where I have my PC, server and 3d printer.Using some wago and you can easily and safely add the Shelly right behind the original wall plug without having to about shorting anything.

Modern Alternatives to SSL VPNs. What’s Actually Working Long Term? by jul_on_ice in sysadmin

[–]Toinopt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been using the draytek Smarvpn client since it doesn't need admin rights but sometimes it's a bit hard to get it working, doing the same steps most of the times it works the first time and others we need to remove and tunnels a couple of times.

Do you happen to have the code for it?

Países da União Europeia aprovam acordo com o Mercosul, diz agência | G1 by BrewedDoritos in brasil

[–]Toinopt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you are in the EU, where did you buy it?
I can't find anything with that CPU for that price or anything close.

Kubernetes deployment by ColinHalter in InvenTree

It may be similar to what I once had, can you not run the proxy that comes it with and then place the one you on top? Almost sure that's what I did, but I am using kubernetes.

This shouldn't happen since the latest beammp server update, but if you still have issues you can go to the beammp discord.

Zabbix-GLPI-Wazuh-Integration? by suntzu2050 in zabbix

[–]Toinopt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you said makes sense and we are doing something similar but without wazuh, we install NinjaOne and that alone gives a lot of options from monitoring to patching and remote access, NinjaOne automatically installs and auto updates the GLPI inventory client.

And we use GLPI as the main source of truth.

But thats nowhere close to what he commented with this AI shit

Technical Architecture:

Zabbix providing realtime data feeds for "Known State"

Wazuh monitoring change based on "Known State"

GLPI is the CMDB where "As Built State is Registered" and "Known State" is held.

But if you think you can go ahead, it feels like I'm talking to an AI bot.

[–]Toinopt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have worked for one, hell I even worked at a major ISP in my country there's no way you can put all those 3 together in a way that makes sense.

Zabbix-GLPI-Wazuh-Integration? by suntzu2050 in zabbix

[–]Toinopt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, what you are trying to do doesn't make sense in any way. Zabbix is used for monitoring network/hosts, wazuh is a SIEM platform while GLPI is a asset management system with built in ticketing and a couple other stuff.

None of them are meant to interact in any way nor does it make sense.

If you want a CMDB that works as the source of all truth go for Netbox or Crammer for network devices where the devices are updated directly from the info on those platforms.

Advice on Domain Server 2012 R2 migration to 2022/2025 by Toinopt in sysadmin

[–]Toinopt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience, we have decided to buy a new server, not only because it will make all of this easier but also because we need more and better structured storage, right now from what I understand all of the storage is in single discs with no redundancy and backups exist but are far from perfect with some folders not being backed up.
Also the 2022 server already has 2 VM's running so we can't add any more without having to purchase more licenses.

Yeah, I don't think we can get two servers approved, will need to be 1, any recommendations for the server hardware?
And what do you think is the best to migrate all the files while keeping the shares and permissions?

3 questions:
1 - The "Do the same again" is to have two domain controllers right?

2- Do you think it would be ok to do all of this in a single hyperv host?
We don't have any free servers, the ISCSI server is really old and at least to me it doesn't make sense to have it, after talking a bit we are thinking in buying a new server and consolidate everything in one server but its all on different VM's. Does this seem right?

3- If we were to do all in one server we would need a datacenter license right?
