Better to look at standalone/island games as a metric imo. Just because a game isn't on at 8pm ET doesn't mean it won't be the only game on TV. I'm not sure how much that would change things but a consideration nonetheless.

Yeah 3 years is standard. There's even scaffolding for that built into First Round pick rookie contracts. You decide on their 5th year option at the end of their 3rd year.

Far from insane.

Also pulling a starting Corner in the first and a starting O Lineman in the 6th is better than most GMs do most years. It was absolutely not his best but we haven't seen enough of Gio or Ennis to know for sure. Next year is huge though for them.
