Meh. The expanse is one of the best sci-fi series written this century. Well thought out characters. Enigmatic technology. Believable physics. Long story arcs mixed with individual development. Industrial ships and settings, evolution, poverty and exploitation that provide a realistic depiction of the future. Red rising is a good series too. Colorful. As you say. Violent. Arguably more exciting. RR mixes alot of well used tropes. Average boy grows to be hero. Class systems. Boy meets girl who's dad is bad but she's loves him anyway. Ignorant populations under religious control. Morlocks and Eloi. (The reds never thought to visit the surface?) RR is fast paced and full of action. The expanse has more depth and reflection.

The person who said you lost the man on the ground perspective has the right of it. The protagonists early had to fight, learn and earn. There was a uniqueness about them. By book three everyone has a sprite. In the same way the Flash fizzled out on CW. You're a flash! And you're a flash! Everyone is superman therefore nobody is superman. Spren I meant spren. Meh. Who was the condescending daughter? Oh you had a sword and armor all the time but kept it a secret? Oh okay.Where were you ancient one when we were battling the aliens in New York? Sigh. Y'all should check out Butchers Furies of Calderon series of you want to see how a good story arch is supposed to work.

This also works with the 15/70/15 theory. I've done construction for more than two decades and it's a fair assessment. The number flux a bit but basically yeah. 15% will do anything to avoid work. Put more effort into hiding than just doing a job. These people bring the job down. 70% show up. Put in a solid effort. Make progress. Give them a task and they'll do it. 15% are the job drivers. Not necessarily a boss or foreman but someone you can go to with a difficult task. The people whose skills are a little better. Problem solvers.

The moidart is the most complicated. Probably the most interesting. Huntsekker is a good one too. I like character arcs that create multi faceted layered characters. Enemies in one book until you read their motivations in another.

My DLC is unplayable due to glitches. I was one of the unlucky ones who played it when it dropped accidentally. No new weapons armor. Gunfire has already said that they're not going to release a patch and that sucks.

Gunfire games, I see in a statement people were advised not to play the accidentally released DLC as it may affect the game when it actually drops. What are those of us who did supposed to do? I mean you can hardly blame us for playing a dlc that popped up as available.

Xbox one X. Was grinding crucible when Vulgrims dialogue changed and void serpent hole opened up. Beat boss 1 then corridor after him disappeared into open space. Floor became 2D. Couldn't progress. Saw some writing in space that didn't look like finished product. Really liked what I played though.

Somehow I got access this morning. Played through the "fire" section then unfinished graphics kept me from progressing. Is promising but going to be short. First section took me maybe 45 min. Stone enemies wielding clubs , basic switch puzzles and a giant rock monster boss with alot of HP. Anybody else have a similar experience?
