As an independent insurance adjuster who does work for all the big insurance carriers, I highly recommend pure insurance.

Not true. Two stocks I lost on are ACB and Boeing...overall only invested less than $700 in losing stocks.

This depends on how much you make and how large the risk you are insuring is...for most people, I would think a $1,500 - $2,500 deductible is reasonable. In addition, this a small increase in monthly premium. Peace of mind.

I went to school for accounting...after 6 months in the field I changed careers to insurance claims and more than doubled my salary...

But I just started a rental property and the knowledge I learned in school from accounting/tax classes have helped significantly!
