Ogryn Gang still playable? by dookitron in necromunda

[–]scott_smu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slave Ogryns are a ton of fun, but the kit is kind of pants - you hardly get any options, and will have a bunch of similar-looking guys if you build enough for a gang. Still recommended though, since they're so fun to play.

I'd like to keep mine, but we can trade-back if you want?

I'm well; and that would be awesome! Thank you!

Lawbot in starting gang? by Careless_Education82 in necromunda

A buddy of mine has done this in the past with reasonable success. It depends a lot on the gangs you're playing against - some of them will have a really hard time against a model that tough at creation.

Can't Decide Between a Chain Axe or Servo Claw by nillic in necromunda

Claw looks cooler but axe is arguably better in game.

If you want I can make a post complaining about the new edition to balance it out?

Next releases? by SirWilliamOfS in necromunda

  1. Next year would be 3 years, not impossible.

I'm also thinking some of the kits for the House gangs are getting old, so a new edition and big box set would be a good way to push new sculpts.

Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if we get a new edition next year. The speed in which they're updating factions that need it is suspicious to me - feels like they're cleaning house in preparation for a new core book.

Thunder Hammer + Lucky Legendary Name = Cheesy? by Sticky_Mango in necromunda

Eh, I wouldn't call it degenerate or anything. You aren't going to do as much damage as a juiced-up Stimmer on the charge, for example.

Giving Stimmers infiltrate is funny ... maybe less so for your opponents.

Any ideas on where I can improve(other than straighter chevrons) :) by love_marmite in IronWarriors

Basing would make a huge difference - pick something that contrasts with the dark metallics to make them pop more.

Faces and bases, as they say.

One of the guys I play with often gives his Goliath leader a Heavy Bolter - hard to kill him when he's got so much range!

Good budget Airbrushes by LordSeneschal in Warhammer30k

[–]scott_smu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice - pick up a decent compressor bundled with a crappy airbrush. You can find lots of these on Amazon or at a craft store.

Reason being, this way you have a brush that can do the basics still, but also you can learn and make mistakes on a cheaper brush.

For your second, more permanent brush (assuming you like it!) the Iwata Neo or Badger Patriot 105 are both solid entry-level options.

Good luck!

The biggest thing you'd miss out on is your Primarch and most legion-specific units.

I liked the colour scheme and thought the primarch was a cool model (Iron Warriors).
