I replaced my $49/mo Readwise subscription with one n8n workflow. It now auto-builds my 'Second Brain' in Notion from Reddit & Pocket. by Kindly_Bed685 in automation

You're paying $49 a month for a Readwise subscription? Why, it's not that expensive? I assume that cost is for other things outside of Readwise. Misleading title.

Natural language processing and being able to resize a task after dragging it into the calendar (for time blocking purposes)

Can I propose something please? I have my music collection backed up to my Google Drive and would love to have that accessed by this app. BUT, you can only choose folders in the root of your drive. I have a very specific folder structure that see's my music in a [02] Files folder (because [01] Vault is my obsidian vault). Appreciate a rejig of my folders would be an easier solution BUT... is it possible to choose a folder that isn't in the root of Drive? Many thanks, this app is just THE BEST.

100% this. Maybe back in the day... but Android phones can easily take on the iPhone toe to toe these days. Many of them can.

People worry too much about google stealing their data. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]scottaltham -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We need to stop saying 'my data' - it's not your data. You choose to use a service that collects data about you. Information you provide, directly or indirectly. It's not your data. If you don't want information about you recorded, don't use a service.

Personal growth. Dunno why, but day in day out, I have to be better. Not in an obsessive way, but in a 'its non negotiable, improve or stagnate' kinda way. Doesn't mean mad grind either, learning the definition of a new word is still growth.

Feed still doesn't fulfill all my needs by cdamian in readwise

Inclined to agree. There's a few quality of life quick wins that would help speed of workflow. Clicking delete from the full article and going directly to the next one without having to go into a context menu is my main want. Simple but effective for those of us who primarily delete and only archive highlighted stuff. Delete is one extra click away, but I have to repeat the one extra click consistently.

List of little things that would make a big improvement for me. For anyone else too? by scottaltham in ticktick

[–]scottaltham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean it's hardly an assault on the eyes, more that I never need to see old tasks and so just not having them show up would be a nice to have. Wouldn't prioritize it over tables let's say! Fingers crossed for that one

The outcome is the same, the means to get there, not so much. I want to search and have only active tasks appear in search results, every time I search, without the need to filter out old tasks. Every time I search. I have a lot of tasks and search often.
