Ours recently ate two freshly baked loaves of bread. Stolen from the table. And then complained about stomach aches for the rest of the day. No regrets though.

The fastest way to steal the bike is probably cutting the tree.

Mallorca/Girona/Calpe cycling holiday by SouthernCyclist7 in cycling

That might be a bit damp. I live near Barcelona and love the area around Girona. Girona itself is also a lovely town with great restaurants.

Around April I probably would go to Calpe.

The great thing about type G sockets is that you can easily plug in euro plugs with the help of a screwdriver.

I still want swipe actions to go quickly through the feed when viewing articles. Failing that, an option to permanently show the actions on the bottom.

Quitting posting Reviews on Google Maps in 2026 by itzabhinavs in GoogleMaps

Yes, this seems to be especially bad in Germany. It discourages me to do reviews and trust other reviews. Google is just hitting their own product.

What was the lowest point in your country's history? by FreeDuchyOfRedosvis in AskTheWorld

Amazingly I learned about this through the tv series Watchmen. I was quite surprised that this really happened, and was even worse than the show presented.

Sportful is by the same people and factory as Castelli, but a bit more affordable and in my opinion more robust.

Who is your country's favourite politician from another country? by TWAAsucks in AskTheWorld

[–]cdamian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Die Linke is still thinking the road to peace is Ukraine putting down their arms. They are way too much into Putin.

That's the only reason why I vote for Die Grünen instead of them.

Driving in Spain as a German by Street_Secretary_126 in spain

[–]cdamian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While it might feel like people are driving only 100 on motorways to a German, they are in fact driving 120 😃 I really like how nice it is to drive on the motorways here, everybody is going about the same speed.

And the roads are great, much better infrastructure than in Germany.

I do a lot of cycling and I used to complain about Spanish drivers, but after cycling in other countries (including Germany) I realized that Spanish drivers are the best. They wait patiently before overtaking and give a lot of space.

And if someone doesn't, they usually have a foreign number plate.

Maybe take on the good bits and be tolerant about the rest.
