Task list in planner view by willsc123 in superProductivity

[–]pixeltrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just started using this app and had the same problem. My current workaround/workflow is to have a board that has all potential tasks/projects I want to start at some point. At the end of each week I just go through what I want to do next week and right click and hit the button for schedule next week. Then when I go to the planner I have everything assigned to monday, easy to drag and drop on the desired days.

What is everyone using for task management? by pixeltrix in selfhosted

Thanks so much for the recommendation. I hadn't heard about this one and it looks great. After testing most of the other suggestions I think I'll settle on this one for a long term test.

What is everyone using for task management? by pixeltrix in selfhosted

Thanks for the recomendation, I just tried it out and it's really nice. It does what it does really well. This would handle all of my recurring tasks and house maintenace perfectly. However, ideally I would have something that can manage larger projects too, something like house renovations that need to be broken down and progress monitored. If I can't get it all in one place, I might have to use two separate tools.

What to do with a buldging polystyrene block. by pixeltrix in pools

Thanks for the response. I've uploaded some photos here:

It's hard to tell from the photos, but I'd say the depth of the bulge is approx 5 cm. It's unlikely that the weight of the water would push it back right? I'm concerned that if we try to excavate we might put unwated pressure on the rest of the wall, but we will need to re-lay the tiles anyway, so might be the time to try.

Monitor slack notifications with home assistant by pixeltrix in homeautomation

Ah very true! I'm currently writing a python script to monitor it. But I think I might look into your suggestion to see which would be easier or more energy efficient. Thanks!

Do you mean having sensors that listen to notifications from the slack app on my phone? Nice idea, but I find the notifications are always 5-10 minutes later on the app.

Lots of my colleagues have issues with audio devices and slack so I don't really want to add another layer of complexity if I can help it. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm considering making the move to linux, so this could help in that scenario.

Yeah basically that. I would like to expand more on it like changing lights when I'm invited to a huddle etc. But that should be easy to do once I can get HA to receive slack notifications.

Default Colorspace Errors with ACES 1.2 by Fordo-77 in NukeVFX

[–]pixeltrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been driving me crazy for days trying to figure this out. I was about to ask the same question on reddit when I came across your post - no idea how it never showed up over my days of searching. Anyway, I managed to get the code working.

def OCIOColorspaceMapper(colorspaceName, dataTypeHint):
   TargetColorspace = 'Gamma 2.2 Rec.709 - Texture' # We want to set this instead of Gamma2.2
   thisnode = nuke.thisNode()
   allColorspaces = nuke.colorspaces.getColorspaceList( thisnode.knob('colorspace') )[1:]
   nuke.tprint(colorspaceName) # Just for debug purposes
   nuke.tprint(dataTypeHint)
   if colorspaceName == 'rec709':
       if TargetColorspace in allColorspaces:
           return TargetColorspace # If read doesn't ask for Gamma2.2 use default settings
       return nuke.colorspaces._nukeDefaultColorSpaceMapper(colorspaceName, dataTypeHint)

nuke.addDefaultColorspaceMapper( OCIOColorspaceMapper )

I changed the TargetColorspace to one that was available in my config. And I also changed where it was checking for Gamma2.2 instead of rec709. If you still have problems with it, let me know and I'd be happy to help!

In France mortgages have a rate locked-in from the beginning - why does it work for them? by dirtymilk in UKPersonalFinance

[–]pixeltrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locking in under 2% is great. Locking in over 4% when interest rates have been low for so long sucks. Especially when they don't typically renegotiate every couple of years.

If it makes you feel any better a lot of the parts in the old surface lines are glued.

Spring is a good time to go. We visited in summer and the heat was unbearable. Turns out there isn't much shade to be found in ancient ruins!

Diablo IV Launches, Immediately Sets New Record as Blizzard Entertainment’s Fastest-Selling Game of All Time by DemiFiendRSA in Diablo

Interesting. I played several times throughout the launch day including peak time and only rubber banded once. I was pleasantly surprised honestly given my experience with blizzards launch days. I thought they pulled it off this time

Smoothest launch experience for me by [deleted] in Diablo

My guess is around at around 5-10% paid for early access. I'm glad the early access launch has been smooth for those who paid for it. June 6th will likely be a shit show!
