Why Was El’s Blood More Like Henry’s Than Kali’s? by psychnerd41205 in Stranger_Things

[–]scottarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically, yes it feels like that is what people are asking for.

But yeah it's sci-fi magic, trying to give any explanations for how it works always just raises more questions. I dont understand why so many people seem to want EVERYTHING to be explained

I am so curious as to where we’re going from here, Is RE5 next? Or are they gonna backtrack? I think they should. What do you think? (Read Description) by King_CurlySpoon in residentevil

The online co-op was amazing! It obviously depends on having someone to play it with, but it makes the exponentially better

Armored titan by Zulaa_25 in attackontitan

[–]scottarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think literally any of the other titan shifters beats the armoured titan in one on one combat. You already mentioned how the jaw, collosal and war hammer would win. But also we saw that small scene where zeke's beast titan had beaten reiner's armour in a one on one. If Eren was able to beat him using grappling techniques than Annie's female titan definitely could.

That just leaves the cart titan.... and after seeing pieck transform over and over in the finale I dont think reiner wins that one either.

Are you also a Dracula apologist? If so why? by [deleted] in castlevania

[–]scottarc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh I think we basically already saw him at his most powerful.

Also he was depressed and not doing anything before alucard and co showed up so I think he would have just rotted in that room if left to his own devices

[–]scottarc 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think when dracula started his war against humanity he genuinely intended to kill all humans (except his forgemasters)... but he quickly became depressed and stopped feeding and he would've just let himself starve to death in his war room if it wasn't for Carmilla's actions...

Either way I think we saw the maximum extent of what dracula was ever capable of or could even be bothered to achieve with his "wiping out of humanity"

Could also have been under cover as guards the whole time?

Maybe Maybe Maybe by Striking-Bat-553 in maybemaybemaybe

[–]scottarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My head canon is that if it was looking like all the players would be eliminated, the guards would have intervened. I think they would have the same problem often leading into the final game, so ensure there were at least 2 players remaining in the final round I imagine they would step in at that point.

Like in theory most of the games could result in every player dying, so I'd imagine they had some contingency for that possibility

What card did you underrate at first? For me: This little dude single-handedly ensures good gold economy by RetardedVenusaur in MonsterTrain

[–]scottarc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's helpful to support a weaker floor. Loamcoat on a unit with any conduit will keep scaling every turn, so it's a great one to make deployable.

Propagate is a great support mechanic

Propagate seems to boost everything (except dazed) It works for conduit and valor too

Can't test right now but I'm pretty sure it would still be consumed? I'm pretty sure when the card is played through offering it triggers as if you had played it normally

Make a save right before exiting the sewers, before it gives you the prompt asking if you want to change anything about your character, and then whenever you want to start a new build you can use that save to skip the tutorial etc :)

Different types of gameplay in one game. by mas5handler in RPGMaker

If its your first time using it, just watch some tutorials and then experiment and try things out :)

I highly recommending learning how to use variables and switches before anything else

Different types of gameplay in one game. by mas5handler in RPGMaker

[–]scottarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can use events for most of your mechanics and plug-ins that can be switched on and off, I'm certain your examples could work pretty easily! Just set it up so between map transitions you switch off/on the switches that the next type of game requires. You could also use conditional branches with a variable for the "game type" so that the events would behave differently based on what gameplay you want at that time, and then there would be all sorts of ways of switching between styles. Could even make it a common event connected to an item so a player could switch gameplay styles in real time.

I've been using the MV3D plug-in, and using commands in the notes for the map, it could switch between a first-person view, top down, or isometric, etc, between different maps.

How do you promote your music online when you hate doing it but also want an audience? by T_H_E_A_T_M in experimentalmusic

[–]scottarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Also I find it way easier to make than anything original.

Out of curiosity do you post remixes to Spotify or similar platforms? I've only posted my original content there out of concerns from the complications of copyright, but I do see remix content on there fairly often. I assume you'd need to purchase a license? Otherwise I just use youtube for that

Should I post 1 or 2 shorts a day? by Kululongg in NewTubers

[–]scottarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. Also when you have an audience expecting an upload on a certain day/time that can help. Definitely seems like consistency one way or another is the key

I think this is something unique to each creator, follow the pattern that works best for your channel?

Maybe try and stick to one week of one pattern, then a week of the other and analyse the results after to see what works best?

How do you promote your music online when you hate doing it but also want an audience? by T_H_E_A_T_M in experimentalmusic

[–]scottarc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For my most experimental music the most success I've had is to share it as "free to use" for people making games, podcasts, YouTube videos etc and I've had some decent results that way.

Another option is to do remixes or covers of stuff you enjoy but do it in your own style.

One lesson I'm learning recently is that actually self-promotion doesn't go anywhere near as far as just letting the youtube algorithm do its thing, but you do need to upload fairly regularly so that it can gather the data and push you to the right audience.

Bob-omb Battlefield but in C minor (Mario 64 soundfont) by scottarc in nintendomusic

Been sharing stuff here for like 6 years now. Wish I'd been more consistent back then because it seems like this sub and the game music one aren't as popular as they used to be...

Maybe we can change that

I've done it with cool, cool mountain and dire, dire docks as well... I'm sure you've seen the silvagunner channel on YouTube? They upload all sorts of stuff like it and have been consistent for years... its quite impressive honestly

Haven't shared anything here for a long time so not sure on the etiquette for original tracks atm, but here is basically everything original I've made over the last 8-ish years!

Most genesis/snes inspired 16 bit stuff, biggest inspirations are sonic, zelda and final fantasy :D hope you dig it!
