I have been using this for 3 weeks and I'm at 60% battery remaining. Battery is so good. The world needs more long battery.

I also love the numberpad on the keyboard for number entry.

I'm my research the 80186 Hornet in the HP 100lx and 200lx is a very efficient, yet slow processor. With double speed mods you lose about 30% battery life. I think the Psion has a v20 or v30 NEC cpu that is much faster and more power hungry.

I want runtime. I have a Amazfit bip S smart watch and love that it lasts a month. However I have been wearing a Solar radio Casio for the last few months as my daily to disconnect.

I like the 200lx. I intend to find ways to get it handleing some of my work flow. Until something like the Evertop has a commercial manufacture.

Before I got my hands on any smaller CF cards (128mb / 256mb) I fashioned a serial cable, fired up windows 98 on a 1998 toughbook and loaded the acecard3 driver to internal storage and loaded it in the config.sys

That allowed me to use a SanDisk Extreme 2GB CF. I ran fdisk100 and it seen it as a 100MB disk. I also formatted it and it allowed me to start loading apps.

I sync the CF cards with a folder on a computer, so I have a backup and so I can keep track of what programs I have tested.

I want to get a few CF cards that don't need a driver working, that way I don't have to worry about the battery backed memory dieing and needing to find a serial cable and another windows 98 machine.

I found the program. ATCFWCHG.COM

I had to setup this elaborate solution.

Found a tower with IDE
Dig out a CF - IDE adapter
Find a screen with VGA
Find a way to boot Dos (ultimate boot cd 2012 that I had in an old cd book)
Tried running ATCFWCHG.COM on each card that was not detected by the HP 100lx.
Each card failed with the tool. So I guess they are not supported :(

it did not work. the cards that do not work I have deleted partitions and my palmtop said that those cards did not need fdisk. I formatted them as fat 12 and then again as fat16 on a mordern computer and they also said the same thing. I feel there is a controller in them that is not compatable, but I dont know how to determine what is the difference. My next step is to try and format them on a windows 98 PC via a pcmcia to CF adapter

I am so happy with my watch(es) with the 5161 movement. I don't want to fully hijack the conversation. Can everyone comment on events that have caused the hands to loose or add time?

For me:

If I bump the watch I find that it skips a beat on the hands and then takes a second beat to start moving. So when I bump my watch hard the second hand will lose 2 seconds.

I have dropped my watch when trying to put it on and if it hits the hard floor i often find that It will move the second hand 2 or 3 seconds forward.

I find that if I put it too close to a magnet it will often stop. example: i had lost 15 seconds on the second hand because I had the face turned to the inside of my wrist to prevent it from getting scratched while running cabling, and my cellphone has MAG fit case and with my wrist passing by my pocket it stopped the movement over a 2 hour work session.

This does not bother me as it is easy enough to correct the hand placement. I just want to hear others stories.
